Four arrested during search for stolen vehicle
Four Tehachapi area residents were arrested on Dec. 5 when Tehachapi Police executed a search warrant at 19064 Backes Lane and located a stolen vehicle at the property.
Taken into custody were 43-year-old registered narcotics offender and probationer Matthew James Scogin, for possession of a stolen vehicle and being under the influence of a controlled substance, as well as probationers Amanda Racquel Holt, 29, and Kay Ward Fridley, 54, both for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Further investigation also led to the arrest of 50-year-old Paul Smith Jr., for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen vehicle.
