Herbalist shares joy of Italian herb cookery

Herbalist, lecturer and writer Edna McCallion of Stallion Springs shows a copy of “The Herbarist,” which carries her article, “Italy, An Herb Lovers Paradise.”

It is the second article by McCallion that has been published in the magazine, which is the national journal of the Herb Society of America. In the article, McCallion shares what she learned about herbs while working with farmers, chefs and home cooks in Italy. The author of the cookbook, “Pesto, The Royal Ingredient,” she visited pesto manufacturers in Italy.

She has written herb and food columns, receiving recognition for her recipes that were published by Profile Magazine and Viansa Winery. Copies of “The Herbarist” are available at Books and Crannies.
