My Backyard
It came to my attention last week, with regard to an e-mail from the Tehachapi Editor, that some anonymous person had written to complain that MY backyard photo (that is on my post), complaining that  MY yard was a photo of their backyard and thus a 'violation of their privacy'... I was asked to explain where I had obtained my photo!! I find it hard to believe that there could be two exactly identical backyards in all of Tehachapi valley...I offered to have the editor come to my home and view my yard for authenticity...What really burns me up is that 'Anonymous' has ANY crediability whatsoever!!  I post under my own name! Having lived in Tehachapi all of my life ( fourth generation) I was quite upset at having to defend myself against some unknown blogger...get real people...isn't there anything else to do except make accusations like this?  Anonymous...whoever you are...get a life! feel free to contact me and set your mind at ease...as the Tehachapi News has already done so.  Wasn't it just a few months ago that Jewels was receiving blogs from a man who had his photo posted, yet wasn't really indeed that person?  Did anyone receive an e-mail wanting verifications on that photo? I don't know about you, but these accusations coming from out of left field and from some one who obviously has nothing better to do but view profiles...well it really #@$"#@& me off!!

Nice backyard Ada Maria!  Wish mine looked like that!  How do you get your morning glories to bloom like that?  About the time mine start to bloom and look good, an early frost kills them.  Have you seen the "Blue Dawn" variety of morning glory?  You have to grow it as an annual here though due to our cold winters.

Actually, Adamarie, since you were contacted via e-mail that is also anonymous (although it really was from the Editor). My point is that anything you receive on the internet, whether a communication on the blog site or an e-mail, is essentially "anonymous". Those of us who blog here are all "anonymous" since profiles can be set up with any e-mail address (or multiple addresses). The News has chosen to not prevent that (and really has no way that I know of to prevent it). So, even though you are most certainly honest with everyone, remember that the barb or angst regarding "anonymity" actually applies to everyone here (every name is anonymous so to speak). The ultimate defense for copyright or ownership infringement is "the truth" so if its your photo (which I believe it is), case closed. I just wouldn't get too worked up regarding stuff like that (it happens, and will continue to happen, here all the time). BTW, that looks a lot like my backyard............   :)

No wonder you are so upset, imagine getting a violation for something so silly!!  Don't you worry, I'm sure you won't get into any legal troube over who took this picture and posted it in the paper.  In my day, they never would have wasted our tax dollars on something like this.  If anything, let him take the credit and sue HIM for posting that picture.  Sue him for slander, such an unflattering picture.  I never would have allowed him into my yard.  Look at the angle he shot the picture at, and he didn't even clean up the yard first.  I see a bright yellow hose on dirt, a half dead plant in a dirty pot. He didn't even turn to the "good side"  Even more alarming is the close up view.  Wires dangling into the tree branches, branches on the roof.  Did he do that on purpose????  If the city politicians come to ask about the wires the tree branches are growing into, tell them I'm a 4th generation resident, I am well aware of the city laws, thank you very much.

It's Mildred again, my, they sure don't give you much room to write, do they??  Ha Ha.  As I was saying, the picture looks real nice until you click on the close up view.  Why on earth that man chose such a bad angle to shoot his picture is beyond me. No wonder you are so upset!!!!   You better take that man to task, the close up view is the most alarming, I see many ugly wires going from the roof into the branches of the tree.  Why would someone do that?   Don't be surprised if they send some politicians out to make you cut that tree.  Tell them NO.   Imagine having a voilation submitted just because you haven't done any tree trimming.  Why didn't he move that yellow hose out of the dirt, or turn that dying plant to the green side, and then wipe the dirt off of the pot??  (If you are trying to save that plant, it would be happier out of the direct sun)  Why did he photograph those lovely morning glories from that angle??  All you can see are tendrils growing out into the air, reaching out for a trellis to latch onto.   He could have so easily moved the hose, caught the morning glories at a good angle, not get those pesky wires into the picture.  No wonder you are so up in arms.  God be with you dear, keep your chin up.

Well "Mildred" or "Jen" whoever you are. The reason there are wires running to the roof right there is because that's the way they did things in the '50's when they built the house. The reason the hose is however you think it is, is because apparently we aren't as critical as you are of our crappy back yard!  As for the yellow wire, I did that so that we could have power to the garage without it shorting out and sparking every time it rained! It works great! What the #$&K do you know about angles meathead? You don't even have a picture on your profile! If your back yard is so F$%&ing great why don't you post it so everyone can see it! The reaon my wife posted the picture is because she was proud of her morning glories. Then we get some a-hole accusing us of tresspassing to take a picture of their back yard so that we could post it as our own! That's just fricken stupid! Like, gee, lets got photograph those people's back yard so we can post it on our blog! Give me a fricken break!

No we get you bitching about the hose, the wires, the angle, and the way a f#$%ing pot is facing! Get a life ya bimbo!

Well, for goodness sake, there is no reason to curse out a poor old widow who is trying to help?  I was only trying to help.  I couldn't believe that someone would issue a violation for such a thing.  And for someone to attack me for being a concerned person.  Who are you anyway?  Are you this lady's son?  I hope she never finds out how her son throws out curses, and name calling to some one who is only trying to help.  I thought this newspaper said no profanity or personal attacks.  I'm sure that I have grandsons older than you are, young man.  You'd be better served by taking your poor suffering mother to church, and be sure to stay for the sermon.  Indeed.  And for your information, Mr Smarty Pants Potty mouth, I don't have a picture on this blogger thing because I live on a fixed income.  I have very poor eyesight, and no money for a fancy computer camera.  I didn't know that there was such snobbishness in this computer world.  I am very stunned and hurt by your name calling.  You called me a meathead, a b*****, and a bimbo.  Young man, you have a lot to learn about being kind to people.  I hope your poor mother never finds out what you have said.  It would break her heart.  she is already going through enough.  Please don't let her see the names you throw out at old ladies.

No, I'm her husband and the reason I am responding is because she is so fuming mad that you're lucky she didn't respond. Where do you get off criticizing people's back yards anyway? Those flowers are the best thing about our back yard during the summer. Your damn right I have a "potty mouth" when someone offers their "helpful, concerned" opinion about something that touches us personally! My wife got 7 bottles of morning glory seeds off of our "reaching" trellis and it seemed to be happily growing all summer long. That "half dead" plant has been alive for about 16 years! I usually have a lot more patience but my patience has already been worn way too thin on this subject and you pissed the both of us right the heck off!! It's just a freakin picture of our back yard! She never knew it would cause such a stupid controversy; she just posted it because she liked it.

I'm as capable of being kind as you are of being pretentious and I will not write any more on this subject! I'm finished!

Please oh please tell this is all a joke!  When I read Jen or Mildred's post I thought she was being sarcastic.  Defending Adamarie against the idiot who contacted the editor.  Please.  I think if someone would take a picture of someone else's back yard, it would be much more spectacular than that picture.  BTW Anamarie no offense I think your back yard looks great.  It looks like the average Americana's backyard that doesn't have gardeners or landscapers to do it for them.  Kudos for you for having pride in your yard and yes beautiful flowers.  I hope someone doesn't take a picture of my backyard, they would find all kinds of good stuff......weeds, toys, balls, a beer or pepsi can here or there,  maybe a plastic bag, some dead rodents that my cats didn't eat, some bone of some animal that my dog dragged into the yard, deer crap, etc.  So again, I think it looks nice and Jen or Mildred in my opinion was being sarcastic..  Maybe not, but who cares!!!

BTW, here are some pics of my backyard if someone wants to report a violation!!
