My Backyard
It came to my attention last week, with regard to an e-mail from the Tehachapi Editor, that some anonymous person had written to complain that MY backyard photo (that is on my post), complaining that  MY yard was a photo of their backyard and thus a 'violation of their privacy'... I was asked to explain where I had obtained my photo!! I find it hard to believe that there could be two exactly identical backyards in all of Tehachapi valley...I offered to have the editor come to my home and view my yard for authenticity...What really burns me up is that 'Anonymous' has ANY crediability whatsoever!!  I post under my own name! Having lived in Tehachapi all of my life ( fourth generation) I was quite upset at having to defend myself against some unknown blogger...get real people...isn't there anything else to do except make accusations like this?  Anonymous...whoever you are...get a life! feel free to contact me and set your mind at ease...as the Tehachapi News has already done so.  Wasn't it just a few months ago that Jewels was receiving blogs from a man who had his photo posted, yet wasn't really indeed that person?  Did anyone receive an e-mail wanting verifications on that photo? I don't know about you, but these accusations coming from out of left field and from some one who obviously has nothing better to do but view profiles...well it really #@$"#@& me off!!

Yeah I have, but only one of him in a red suit.  I would love to see another one.  They are busy so I try not to bug them too much.  If you can, and if you want, can you send that one to me on my email.  I think Olivia has my email address.  If you can't I understand but I am jonesing to see more of that baby!!

You guys have beautiful yards compared to mine! I have a hillbilly shed and a lean to for a garage. I am envious!

BlendonW I am very sorry if I offended you in any way. After reading your last article , the general public would have to agree that you have some serious anger issues! I hope you don't treat your wife this way. As a concerned citizen I thought I could give you a few words of advice.

Bigdog has the right idea.. the serenity prayer might help.   There's a good website called greatday.com that has daily thoughts that help people who are stressed out or have anger issues... they had a good one a couple of days ago on their 'Daily Motivator" section.   BlendonW might want to subscribe... I think they will send you the nice thoughts daily if you subscribe.  Just a suggestion, mind you.. not butting into your business... but it might help you not to be so easily agitated over silly things, that can't be good for your blood pressure or your general health.

Calm your mind

You can choose your thoughts. And you can choose, for a while, to be free of those thoughts.

Serenity does not require any particular environment or conditions on the outside. Serenity is a state you can achieve on the inside, whatever else might be going on.

At any time, you can choose to calm your mind. Clear your thoughts away and for a while, feel the refreshing and renewing peace of simply being.

Discover how easy it can be to let go of the thoughts racing through your head, and let in a feeling of serenity. Choose to put yourself in a state where even the distractions cannot affect you.

See that the disappointments of the past are far, far away. Let your peaceful, accepting experience of the moment fill you with a solid, confident energy.

Step back for a little while and feel the calm reality of who you are, of the life you are living. Enjoy a serene moment, and your eyes will be opened to the positive possibilities that are all around you.

Thank you for all of the great advice about serenity. And actually my family had a great laugh reading Jen's comments out loud, it was so over the top it was great! Perhaps she should do a google search for "fundamental attribution error." The fundamental attribution error is a common assumption that people make where they believe someones actions are a result of their personality and that they act that way all the time because that's just the way they are. Actually people act different ways at different times depending on how they are affected by their circumstances.

It's easy to intellectualize serenity when everything is going ok, Jewels and BigDog of all people should realize that. All you have to do is make it through the crap, no one ever said you have to do it gracefully. Anyway, I appreciate the positive comments and pay no heed to the comments about "anger management issues." It takes all kinds and everyone has the right to their opinion. They gave their opinion and I gave mine!

I thought you were "FINISHED" with this issue.  Poor young man, how you must suffer.  Are you really "finished", or was that your way of dismissing opinions that irritate you and your wife.    Perhaps YOU should look up the word FINISHED on google search.  I believe FINISHED means, you are DONE, and the subject heretowith, shall be forever and always CLOSED.  Stop opening up OLD WOUNDS.  Be finished if you are truly finished, and not a moment before.  By the way, I am finished with YOU.

Yea, I know, I'm over it. Thanks. All over a picture, kinda silly. We still don't know who made the original accusation to the Tehachapi News that started it all but none of it really matters anyhow.

gillfish, envious ?  the picture i saw of you rocking in your chair with that corn cob pipe hanging from your lip infront of your house seemed like a factual representation of your hillbilly background. I thought you liked living in a lean to bare footed.

CharleyBird are you criticizing me? Get off the blogs and go try and make your homestead a little nicer to look at. Yes, I have been accused of being backwards so what?
