Homicide in Tehachapi
My wife just squawked me via NEXTEL....it's upsetting to hear about ANY gun-related death; it's absolutely CHILLING to have it hit so close to home. I heard through the grapevine it ocurred out in county, off of Westwood on Moon avenue somewhere. Could have been heard from my house, or worse, hit AT my house, for cryin' out loud!

Your lake works:  Fix ours!

Tom Sawyer Lake used to be the "Bling of Golden Hills"...that is until irresponsible stewards allowed it to fall into mismanagement and subsequent ruin.  Is there anyone out there with some stones that can muster up the might of the community and demand what is right:  fix the eyesore and generate revenues while doing it!!!

Build a nature walk with the involvement of the local communities, Cub Scouts, etc...

How 'bout a driving range?

or...a wetlands animal refuge

WOW!  Even paddle boats for rent!!

It can happen.  And it did.

Jon Hammond can attest to that fact.  He posted a pictorial a while back that fully illustrated the beauty and grandeur that once exemplified Golden Hills as a gorgeous community...Hey, Jon....still got them there photos?

Hey Tehachapi!!

Ever hear of cuisine-sensitive diversity?  Obviously not once you take a count of how many restaurants there are in the Tehachapi area (including outskirts, etc)...one has to take notice of how many of these establishments are of the  Mexican fare?

How about an Olive Garden....Soup Plantation....Red Lobster, even!!!  Every time I turn around there is yet another Mexican restaurant standing up.  The Wine and Cheese shop that is (scheduled?) to be opening in the Orchard Shopping center is refreshing....that is until our city planning and marketing office decides El Pojo Loco would suffice.

I hear rumor that "Applebees" may be showing up before long.  Who did the market demand research on this one?   We already have Apple Shed and City Slickers!!  It's the same market, for cryin' out loud.

How come California City is getting a KFC?

Hello?

I love the local shopping and I trade most predominantly in our community,  but why is it that I have to go to Mojave or Bakersfield or even worse; L.A. County to enjoy a bucket of original or extra crispy, delicious chicken!!!!???!!!
