Thread is Locked
Hey what does it mean when a thread is locked? I mean obviously you can't comment on it, but who locks it and for what reasons?

thank you colitas. Level4 is all hot air. He blogs under several names and they all have a problem with Shane. Shane's job is not in jeopardy. His bosses are probably informed of the situation and are most likely sitting back laughing at all you idiots that think I'm shane. posted by

I just went back and reread this locked post. There is A LOT of posts missing. I find it funny that people erased their posts or TN did and now the thread is locked. Giving people a false idea of what was all in the original blog. A good rule of thumb GUBE! Don't write anything that you'll have to erase. Be it 1 min, 5 min, or a day later. I notice you do this VERY often. If you are so innocent of everything why are you sooooooooo good at backpedaling and "covering ' things up. posted by

Also, in the matter of the post to which you refer, there was much discussion on the post itself where several people stated that they wanted the post to stay on the site, even though they felt some of the material was "strong", for lack of a better word. The overall lack of complaints (via violation reports, email, etc.) plus the stated desires of several participants to have the post remain on the site, kept the post on the site. The general idea is that people on the site are adults, and will conduct themselves in an adult manner. The overwhelming majority of the time, that happens. On those occasions when it doesn't, we do the best job we can to take appropriate action, given the circumstances. Will everything we do please everyone, every time we do it? Of course not. But we'll continue to do our best to be as fair and reasonable and, most of all, invisible as you allow us to be. posted by

Again, we wish to stress that this is something we do not enjoy having to do, and it is something that can easily be avoided if individuals posting to this site respect the Terms of Service, starting with the two ground rules posted in the "Leave a Comment" box. posted by
