Colitas - > Just a Quote -> Has anyone else been Kicked out of a Walmart?
Has anyone else been Kicked out of a Walmart?

Okay, so today I went to walmart with my 22 month old son.  It wasn't planned but my doctor call and said she had faxed over a prescription because some of my blood work came back and I needed ASAP.  So, I changed my son's diaper, made a sipper cup and we hopped in the car and went.  My son loves to take off his socks and shoes at this age, as I am sure a lot of you can relate, so I just took him in his PJ's with the feet in them, you know the one's I am talking about.  Well, it is overcast and raining here so I figured that was the best clothing of course with a hoody on.  So I did some shopping for snacks for lunches and then went up to get my prescription.  I am standing there minding my own business when a women looks at my son and says "Nice outfit".  I smiled and said "excuse me?".  She then precedes to say to my astonishment "Don't ya think you could have put some clothes on your kid before you went out?"  I smiled again and looked around expecting to see someone I knew playing a joke on me....but nothing.  Not one of my shinning moments in life I said "Didn't your mama teach you that if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all!"  She then looks in my cart and says "Your cart is full of snacks and junk,  maybe you should put some of that back and go buy your son some clothes".   Well, needless to say at this point I wasn't using my better judgment and said "Why don't you shut up, mind your own business and get life.  And while you are at it, go to a f**king dentist and get those teeth fix you in-breeded, backwoods hag!!"  Well, she left and I thought wow what just happened.  It is 11:30am not 2 in the morning and I have my kid in walmart.  She did by the way had rotten and missing teeth.  So next thing I know she comes back with a manager and security.  They ask me to leave because I was being threatening and using obscene language.  I told them I was not doing a thing when she came up to me and started talking smack about how I dress my kid.  The manager ask me if I used any foul language and I said "yeah you would have too.  But I never threatened her with physical violence!"  He said "Well I think it would be best if you just leave before we have to call the police."  I said "Fine, but unless you want a law suit I need my medication and I want to her to leave too, or else we can sit here all day long and wait for the police!"  So I got my medication and we both were escorted out of the building.  Now, I know my temper got the best of me and my mouth ran out of my a**, but come on what would some of  you had done?  I am still in disbelief that this happened.  I can't believe I was kicked out of a walmart!!

OMG, that is just crazy! where the heck do people get off making comments to perfect strangers about how they dress their kid? It's not like you had him out in the dead of winter in nothing but a dirty diaper and barefooted..

I REALLY hate to see parents all bundled up warmly and their kids in socks-no shoes. Still-Wow. I think you are to be commended for your bravery in the face of this mouthy toothless witch.

Wow!!  Other than the bit about seeing a f@@#$*&!! dentist I probably would have said the same thing.  Glad to see someone else who doesn't take any s#@$ from strangers...especially since it was Wal-Mart.

Wow-when I read this title I thought how the heck do you get kicked out of a WalMart, now I know.

It's astonishing what comes out of some peoples mouths sometimes. Makes you wonder how bad thier life really is that they have so much anger inside themselves. I always feel sorry for people that act that way, when I am doing being angry of course ;) I'm rarely confrontational, so I probably would have just smiled and told her she must have mistaken me for someone who cares. I wish I had the balls to say what you said back to her! I especially like how you demanded that she leave also and made them give you your prescription-bet you saved yourself a good 20minute wait!

"especially since it was Wal-Mart."  What does it being Walmart have to do with it, or do I detect a touch of snobbery there? Nordstroms or Macy's don't ever have rude assholes shopping in their stores?

Colitas, I commend you for the way you handled it. I wouldn't have had a kid with me, so me and that toothless hag probably would've been rolling around the aisle trying to snatch each other bald...

geez joty can you really just write the word assH%le in the paper and it gets through? and i agree WHAT DOES "ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS WALMART" mean?

OH AND PHlover...there are definitely more A holes in Nordstroms and Macy's then Walmart.

Come on you guys! It's not like people dress in their Sunday best to go to Wal-mart. I'm sure that's all they meant. Don't be so sensitive.I know a few people that were born without that little part of their brain that prevents them from having diarrhea mouth. Everything comes out. There is no filter.I'm actually not sure what I would do if this happened to me. I guess it would depend on my mood that day.

Sorry you had to deal with crappy people. That always puts a damper on your day. :(

I always give it back to peaple who butt in not knowing what the f---- their talking about. Mostly to see what their reaction will be, especially her teeth, she was insinuating junk food, not enough clothing you must be a druggie, she 's the one with rotted and missing teeth. Cool

It means it's just Wal-mart!!!  It's that simple!

The lady was complaining that she had pajamas on her baby. Who cares!  It's not like there is a dress code for Wal-mart. If you wear your best out all the time great but many of us run out in yoga pants, or sweats, etc. Yes, this isn't attire I'd wear to dinner or church, but grocery shopping or in Wal-mart who cares!

I'd've said something along the lines of what you did, except probably with a few more profanities. I'm glad to hear you said that, people like that need to be told off.

Sorry for this different view, but I would have ignored the individual (they didn't deserve a response). It's kind of like "road rage" (but in this case..."aisle rage"). There is no useful purpose in sparring. Also, with an infant son, who would want to get into an altercation. I know we are all enticed to counter, but sometimes muted discretion might be right. Just a different view. Sorry you had the situation.
