I might be treading on thin ice here, but If I can't do here, then where can I do it. So, I have a few questions for you all. I was watching Penn and Teller last night, yes they can be rude and crude, but sometimes they have some good points. The show focused on the stigma of women's breasts in our society. Why is it punishable by jail time for a women to be topless and not a man? A man can take his shirt off at the beach, walking down the street, or even working out. Why do women have to cover up? What is so disgusting about a women's breast? I can say that I have seen some men without shirts that wasn't really wise choice to do. If it's because a women's chest is sexual, there are many women who think a man's chest is sexual or sexy. Look at Reds picture! Why is there this double standard? And if it's because of "the children", why is it alright for children to see a man without his shirt on? I'm not saying that all women need to go around shirtless, I for one wouldn't, but that is my choice. I would love to hear people opinions on this. Men and women. Shouldn't it be that we all have to keep our shirts on or we all have the same rights to take our shirts off.
I first want to start by saying forgive me for ranting and raving. But have you guys heard of these people that are protested the funerals of falling soldiers? In our town we had a fallen soldier that came home and they had services for him on Saturday. Well, low and behold these stupid people came and tried to protest his funeral. Come on, what's this all about. I am a supporter of free speech, but this is way to much. You can protest the war, you can protest the President, you can protest policies, you can protest the protesters, but for goodness sake, why would anybody protest the dead. What good is this going to do. And of course they do it in the name of God. They say that God is punishing us because the war in Iraq is unjust and also punishing the US because we are OK with gays. Does this really make any sense to anybody? And if so please explain. The people in my town came together. By the way they were white, black, hispanic, men, women, straight, gay, old, young, for the war, against the war, for Bush, against Bush, Christians, non-Christians, people from all walks of life. They came together and blocked the protesters from even getting on the same side of the street of where the services were held. I am so proud that it brings tears to my eyes of the citizens of my town. It doesn't matter what your views are, respect the dead. Not just the soldiers, but everyone. This so outrageous to me. We talk about about being "offended" on this site by words people say. WE ALL need to be "offended" by these people. Don't get me wrong, I know that people treated the soldiers coming home from Viet Nam horrible, but haven't we learned. Our soldiers are doing their job, and unfortunately they can't just quit like most people because they will go to jail. All I know is that if the soldier that came home was a loved one of mine, I would be in jail for at the very least assault. But then again, shouldn't they all be our loved ones?
Hey Aero, did you hear that Rosie will not be co-hosting The View next season. I bet you are happy :) And supposedly it did not have anything to do with her anti-Bush comments.

OVER 60 POINTS : Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you. 51 TO 60 POINTS : Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate. 41 TO 50 POINTS : Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out. 31 TO 40 POINTS : Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then , usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature. UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people e think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't. Have you guys heard. Approx 22 dead and 28 injured!!!! What the hell is going on? This is worse then the 1966 Texas Campus shooting. |
