Once Canine Creek has a new home, we look forward to hosting more frequent (and hopefully indoor) adoption days to help find homes for your dogs, Leslie.  You are doing such a wonderful job taking care of Tehachapi's homeless canines.  Thanks for all you do!

I think it is wonderful what Caninecreek (Susie) and Canine Canyon Ranch Rescue (Leslie) does to help these poor dogs that are abandoned or lost.  Sometimes I think people are such asses, and then I hear of people like Leslie and Susie...  ahh, there is still hope for human kind.  I have been to the caninecreek website http://www.caninecreek.com  which I think is fabulous, Susie has an abundance of information to help those who have lost, found or want to adopt a dog... or cat. (smile).  I'm trying to help the Tehachapi Humane Society with their website http://tehachapihumanesocie... , but will have to wait and see what all they want to do exactly.  However I didn't see a website for Canine Canyon Ranch Rescue???

Leslie if you need a website to help with your cause, please let me know.  I will set you up with hosting and a website for free.... Absolutely FREE, I will do whatever I can to help your cause, just let me know how I can be of service.

I applaud both of you.... well done.

P.S.  I  want to mention that Tehachapi News has also stepped up to the plate and will place an ad free if you have lost a pet, or found someone's pet.  Tehachapi News is also helping our 4 legged homeless in Tehachapi.  Thus I wanted TN to know that I acknowledge their wonderful service to our community as well.

Sparks:  Thank you for your kind words.  In 20 minutes I'll be picking up Gentle Ben for his trip to the vet.  I think we've raised enough money (approx. $500) to have him micro-chipped and have his teeth cleaned as well, so the old guy will never have to go under the gas mask again, hopefully.  I would love to take you up on your offer to do a website.  Please call me at 823-0111 and let's talk!  Thanks again.

Dogmomma   I know you are on the way to the vet.  So I will call you around noon.  Be careful out there, some of the roads are a bit icy.

Tehachapi's 2008 Business of the Year Award for helping the community the best--a no brainer--Canine Creek and Canine Canyon Creek!  Am I biased?  No--never met the owners nor have I ever been to Canine Creek (by the way--CATS RULE!) but have read and heard many wonderful stories about them assisting animals as well as the Tehachapi Humane Society.

Thanks Sparks, that's very sweet.  For the record, Canine Creek caters to kitties too, and we'll be expanding that department when we relocate the store (March 1st) and have more room.  We currently sell super premium cat food, healthy treats, organic catnip, natural cat litter and some fun toys and cat accessories.  Yes, we are known as "the dog wash" to most folks, but we do allow other domestic pets in for baths.  Among our customer list we've included cats, rabbits and even a couple 4-H miniature goats.  Last winter we sold clothing to a shaved cat and a pot-bellied pig.  So, although we are a tad bias towards the canines, we are much more than just a dog store.  Please come see us... we'd love to meet you.  Thanks again for your kind words.  :-)
