Organic Fruit and Produce
Anybody know of organic fruit and produce stands like the one near the corner of Bear Valley Road and Cummings Valley Rd?  There is so much agriculture in Cummings Valley that I would think there would be more local produce available.  Thanks!

I think the farmer's market starts up this week in the downtown area near the water tank? Don't remember which day - anybody else?

Yea for the Farmer's Market! Not that I don't love Trader Joe's, but this is sure a lot closer.

Thanks for the Farmers' Market info!

And I forgot about the folks along Bear Valley Rd (Moessner ?) that have a shed just north of the school, opening soon hopefully!

Tangleweed Farm on Old Towne RD., just south of Jefferey is also a great place to get fresh produce during the summer!

For anyone unable to make it to the first Farmer's Market today, you missed out.  It was a great turn out of locals.  Several more booths, and a better selection of products than previous years.  I really hope this is a sign of progression for the Tehachapi Farmer's Market.  Come out next Thursday!

I noticed in the local Tehachapi's Own Phone Book  on page 16 there is a section provided by the Tehachapi Growers Association that lists local growers.  You might have to sort through them to find the organic growers.  BTW, Greg, I visited your website and am truly amazed at some of the photography you display.  Good job!

Here's a couple of great links for local produce, thanks to beamer321 for giving me the head's up on the Tehachapi Growers Assoc.

The growers have their own website:
http://www.tehachapiapples....

And the Tehachapi Central website has a list of local produce as well:

Thanks Beamer for the compliment too!
