I support the right to be gay and gay marraige. What is the Christan republicans afraid of. Why do they wont people to hate gays? They are mean and very judgmental people. If God came back today would he be a republican or Demarcate? I think he would be a demarcate.

I have in no way suggested that. Obviously, A woman can not become pregnant without the man so it is in no way all her fault she got pregnant. All I'm saying is, IF SHE KNOWS SHE DOES NOT WANT CHILDREN....WHY NOT MAKE SURE SHE DOESN"T HAVE CHILDREN. THE ONLY WAY SHE CAN DO THAT IS BY USING CONDOMS AND CONTRACEPTIVES OF SOME SORT OR ABSTINENCE.  IF THE MAN DOES NOT WANT CHILDREN HE SHOULD BE TAKING THE SAME PRECAUTIONS, ONLY LAST I CHECKED A MAN CAN NOT TAKE SOMETHING THAT IS 99.9% EFFECTIVE. (DON'T EVEN TRY TO TELL ME CONDOMS ARE BECAUSE I KNOW TO MANY " CONDOM BABIES" FOR THAT TO BE TRUE.)

Countygirl   I agree   Sadly most unwanted pregnancies come from stupid mistakes... drank too much... on drugs....rape...or just plain STUPIDITY...    Especially the young women, they are easily encourage and yet not very informed on contraceptives. ...

The best thing a man can do today is keep his pants up....  I don't think that will happen though.   We actually could come up with birth control for men that is 99% full proof but sadly most people think like you do... it's the woman's responsibility, thus we don't even try.   It's still a mans world.

Are you sure it's not your thinking that is stalling things?. We could, but it won't be accepted. So why try??

Or as the drug companies probably look at it...We could but it won't make us enough money. So why try??

Let's put it this way. If you want to have sex but don't want a child, sexual disease, or whatever else it is up to the individual (man or woman) to take the necessary precautions otherwise you are playing Russian Roulette with your life and future.  I suppose that if a man doesn't want children he should make sure the woman he is with is on birth control. Not sure how one goes about that and I'm sure people would consider it a violation of one's rights, but it's a thought and at least he is being responsible right.

i also supportĀ  gay rights. omg you can't begin to believe how much hate i receive on a daily bases. why can't people except me for who i am. Like my gayness will rub off on them. get real.try being me for a day i bet you couldn't handle all the hate that is thrown my way. love thy neighbor even if he is gay.

Again... if we place some of the blame on men, and not solely on the women we would try, and drug companies would make money on the drug.  I do not think it is the sole responsibility of women to avoid pregnancy.  I do not want men to think so either.   A lot of men are paying a high financial price for unwanted children... I would think the drug companies will take that into consideration.... hopefully soon.    It's a sad situation for some men to be in, but even the law acknowledges their part in pregnancy..  Men should be asking for birth control.... heck, begging for it.

Joty,  Well of course I get it.. (smile)

Hey Rainbowman... my nephew is gay.   I see what conservative Christians do to him and I think it's awful. (I don't understand how they can think of themselves like Jesus.   The Christians I met say Jesus would have loved EVERYONE.   The bigotry is absolutely horrible.

Luckily most people absolutely adore my nephew. (smile)    Life is very good for him, although I will always fight so that he, you, and people like you can have the same rights as everyone else.   Hang in there buddy.

I agree 100%!

This is kinda off the blog subject, but I have to ask. Rainbowman, are you an in-your-face gay? I mean everytime you come on here you pretty much post the same thing. Does your attitude ask for it?

My brother is gay, as is most of his friends. They've never been beat up, or attacked or mocked. Except one time at a party and I threw that s.o.b. out of my house. I guess you could call me a "faghag" because as a straight woman, I prefer gay men for friends.

Not everyone hates gays. A lot of people might be afraid because they fear what they don't understand (and don't understand what they fear). I am sorry if your life is really that difficult.

Joty...  you have a point.    My nephew has never been beaten up, nor have any of his friends.  In fact people come to visit me just to see my nephew, he is extremely popular and kind.      I too like hanging out with gay men...  OH, ....if only for their design sense.   lol

Looks like we'll have male contraception within the next few years.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id...

"Wang adds that in some countries, a low-cost, reversible and long-acting form of an MHC could become commercially available within the next 3 years. However, she says it will probably be at least 5 years before one is approved by the U.S.Food & Drug Administration.

Interestingly, Wang says there is now greater interest in this technology than there ever was in the past and there is now more funding available worldwide than ever before.

But will men take it? Some say yes, some say only if their partners make them, and other say they would never even consider it."

And condom use is very effective.

http://www.advocatesforyout...

"In a two-year study of sero-discordant couples (in which one partner was HIV-positive and one was HIV-negative), no uninfected partner became infected among couples using condoms correctly and consistently at every act of vaginal or anal sex versus 10 percent of those using condoms inconsistently.

In one year, only two of every 100 couples who use condoms consistently and correctly will experience an unintended pregnancy—two pregnancies arising from an estimated 8,300 acts of sexual intercourse, for a 0.02 percent per-condom pregnancy rate."
