What do you do? Attoney Gratitude.

Okay. My ordeal is mostly over. I'm still waiting for the judgment to be signed, sealed and delivered.

So how do you show gratitude to the attorney and his staff for the work and accomplishments that were done? I've never been in this position before and don't have a clue.

Joty got it right.  If you are appreciative send him a note to his home so he doesn't charge you to read it LOL!

Job, I presented the same question to my father, regarding the folks that took care of  Zeus while he was on his little "Hyades." He simply replied, " A sincere ' Thank you'."  It seems so minimal to something so important to you. He was right. Crazy isn't it, how appreciative we are when people actually do their job.

Lotsa help from this bunch, eh Job?  LOL!  I don't know about attorney etiquette, but my wife and I usually get restaurant gift certificates for our accountant and chiropractor (they both help us out a lot!)

I'm with Joty on this one... pay the bill promptly and in full (and write  "Thank You!!"on the check memo line)

Gratitude towards an attorney?  That is an anomaly.  I've never paid one I didn't want to poison.  Yeah, pay the bill and send a fruit basket or some kind of munchies to the office staff.

Best thing you can do in appreciation for a good lawyer is to pass the word along. Ask him if you can have a few of his cards to pass out to friends in case they are in need of a good lawyer. The possibility of future clients are nearly as good as just paying your bill. And a thank you note always works. Good luck!
