Pass The Salt & Pepper, Please

Ok, someone pass me the salt and pepper, maybe some catsup. I'm going to eat some words here...on May 7th, Nelle (Ellie) is going to be "fixed" by Dr. Billingsley. Depending on her weight (Nelle's, not Dr. B's) it will be just over $100.00 or just under $100.00 with the voucher ($40.00). I just want it done, soon, she's young and can go into heat again.

I stopped in at Canine Creek and got three tags at the Tag-a-Thon. Two of my dog's are chipped, but a tag adds to my comfort zone just in case they decide to do an "Incredible Journey". I will get Nelle chipped soon also.

Today Nelle is in the "slammer". She just cannot resist chasing my poor cat who finally has started venturing down to go outside. She's holed up in the loft of our shop since Nelle arrived. My cat is in excellent health for her age - 13 yrs, but I'm sure she had two of her lives scared out of her today...

That's great news, Joty.  Dr. B and her staff are very nice and I'm sure Ellie will be feeling herself in no time.  Thank you for getting her fixed so we don't have any more puppies for STOP and the THS to find homes for.

I would never not spay or neuter one of my animals. I paid full price for a "pure bred" (my mini-Dox) with pedigree (from a backyard breeder - something I would never do again) and had her spayed at 4 months. Didn't want to show her, didn't want to breed her, never bothered to get her papers. All my other dogs have been rescues, two from a Las Vegas shelter and they were sterilized before I could take them home. My Chi was found wandering in a side canyon up here and she too I had spayed at around 4 months (that she wasn't eaten by a coyote or hawk is a miricle!).

I think it was Dr. B initially that Leslie took Nelle to for spaying and discovered she was too far along with a bellyful of pups.
