Can't somebody find Jimmy Carter a rest home?

Carter's latest headline pontifications are to admonish America for it's lack of empathy for that warm and fuzzy social club, known as Hamas, the US opting to support Fatah, who we gratuitously call moderate because they give lip service to not wanting to kill every Jew in sight. Like those who say "Mussolini made the trains run on time" and "Hitler was very good to his mother",  the radical left still claim that "Hamas does good things" and speak about them as if they are the Rotary Club, or the Optimists.

I'm not sure if the press reports Carter's ravings anymore so much because he is a former president, as because they can't believe what comes out of his mouth, and thus it plays to the reader like the press's equivalency of a freak side show.

Maybe he asks himself "what would Jesus do?" but given that Jesus was probably the only Jew who ever occupied the unholyland who seemed satisfied with the option of dying, the man is a fool and a "would be humanitarian" who knows nothing about human beings. He is a smoother David Duke, who like Carter,  wraps himself in a cloak of alleged Christianity and from his "wolf in sheep's clothing suit" spews hatred for the Jewish homeland.

I too have problems with the idea of ANY homeland predicated on an ethnicity, however Carter appears to have no qualms when a murderer in a Kaffiya calls the entire Middle East "Moslem Land" or the slightest cognoscence of the mitigating circumstances that caused those living in the Jewish homeland to be first, expelled from Arab homelands in which they had co-existed for thousands of years and then joined by their fellows who were driven there from every corner of the globe, making them, the only true refugees in the Middle East.

One can only wonder if Carter had been born earlier would he have thought that WW2 was merely a diplomatic failure or that those who did not reason with Hitler were "impatient" and "intolerant"?

I'm not crazy about our current president either, but I do not express it by celebrating Ted Bundy's birthday.

Jimmy babe, "the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend".

In the name of the most merciful Allah shut the f*** up!

Howdy Aerospace!

Yep, Carter gets a pass.

I am a person who tries to listen to all points of views but when a president who presided over an economy in which buying a home was like purchasing it with a Mastercard and in which when hostages were taken all he could think of was to scratch his head says the most inane and idiotic things, the world is afraid to simply burst out laughing.  Surely there must be someone far more worthy of respect than Carter.

Oh well, it appears to be an "Alice In Wonderland" kinda world out there these days.

Be well compadre!

Hi TK,

Nice to meet ya and I concur with every word you said.

I don't consider myself politically radical one way or the other but rather a fairly moderate kinda guy but my basic outlook on the Middle East is that "the right to exist" is a hell of a point of departure for any negotiation. "Give it up or I'll kill you" is what it amounts to.

I have not been one of these "pull out of the UN folks" although I have been disgusted with the organization and felt like it plenty but the reality is that UN resolutions have been consistently one sided and pro - Arab, anti - Israel from the inception.  I will post a link to a site that documents that pretty thoroughly. http://www.palestinefacts.o...

That which was originally called "the Palestinian mandate" which of course has never been an autonomous country called Palestine was simply parts of Egypt and Jordan.

I wonder how many people know that when pro- Palestinian jihadists (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) hijacked an airliner originating in Tel Aviv with 248 passengers aboard and a crew of 12, and flew them as hostages to Idi Amin's Uganda leading up to the famous "Raid on Entebbe" to free the hostages, the United Nations condemned the rescue as "an act of Israel aggression"? Bizzarro! I can just hear Steve Martin saying "we exuuuuuuusssssssssse me"!

Thanks for commenting on the article and I look forward to chatting with ya more.

Larry

I think we could be friends.  I will always honor the office former President Carter occupied, but I cannot find much good to say about the jerk right now.  Why doesn't he get the Palestinians to quit shelling Israel?  There's a town right up in the corner next to the West Bank that has been getting hit every couple of days for months.  And yet when the Israelis move to clean out an area that has been sending the rockets, the world calls it an unprovoked attack.

Did you know that Israel is the only United Nations member that is targeted for annihilation by another U. N. member?  Would anyone dare question the right of Saudi Arabia or Kuwait to exist?  Why is it okay to question Israel's same right?

Jerusalem, their capital city, is not recognized by other nations.  Embassies are in Tel Aviv, even though they have to conduct political business with Israel's government offices in Jerusalem.

Israel gets attacked, wins the war, then is supposed to allow the loser to dictate the terms of peace.  If Israel says NO, then they're called oppressors.

If Carter wanted to help the Palestinians, he should have worked to depose Arafat decades ago.  That Egyptian did terrible harm to the people.
