Bikinis?

Java Mama's employees to wear bikinis ,,,, my, my - wouldn't grama be proud.

What's wrong with this employer and the young women who went along with this idea?  No brains - just boobs?

Should Java Mama decide to increase business by providing a good cup of coffee in an efficient manner (don't want to wait 10 minutes!), I'll show up.  Otherwise, I don't want to be any where near a place that debases and reduces a woman to T&A.

Well TK - if you get to read this - I think Chippendale dancers are cheesy, usually prostitutes and almost always gay.  I feel sorry for adult men and women who have resorted to stripping, pole dancing or prostitution because it means they have nothing else with which to make a living.  No other skills.  That's so sad.  Now, you say that's OK with you.  Then, you should continue to frequent such businesses to show your favor.

We all get to think about this as we please.  I've read all the responses received and not one has changed my mind.  I continue to think that any young girl selling coffee half dressed is diminishing her value.  At this point on this site, I'm not sure I can say anything different or more clearly than what I have already done.  I've reread my comments and can't really think of a better way to make my case so I won't write more words on bikini clad coffee sellers.

I will however, comment further on the MamaJava employer.  She must be a real piece of work because she is using these young girls to make money via their boobs and naivete.  She's very likely desperate for the money.  Good heavens, she could have advertised her great cinnamon buns!  Instead, she's advertising bikini clad coffee makers.

I also have to completely object to your Branch Office owner review.  Don't rewrite history.  He absolutely did not leave Tehachapi because business was fantastic and he simply wanted the pleasure of saying "kiss my derriere."  That's just silly.  He left because business was poor and he wasn't making any money.  If he was making it financially, that bar would still be there and continuing to look for ways to sell his products.  People saw the pole dancer and for the most part, never returned.

I know I'm not going to change any minds here but I've tried to offer a few points that may be worth thinking about.

I think thsPride should direct his complaints to Steve Walker, and I don't understand how he can call people anti god and cop since we are talking about underage girls wearing skimpy bikinis to work.

What if you were forced to wear a bikini at work?

No one's forcing anyone to wear a bikini top, It's by choice. The only people I hear degrading thees girl's are the women on this site. You call them no brains or rock's for brains. You insult and put them down. If you don't want to see a girl in a bikini top serve you coffee don't go there. I don't.

Bigdog - women and men on this site are against using young girl's boobs to sell coffee.  I don't know what we all look like, but few people on this earth are all these things:  fat and ugly and flat chested and old.  Geez - nice input.  "Thees" girls are being exploited.  (Note:  spell check is a wonderful thing.)

The employer should be ashamed and the parents should be ashamed.

Send the little girl in your lap off to work in a bikini top when she is 16 years old.  When you do, write again and tell us how you feel about her new job.  Roxy's parents were "OK" with it.  Maybe you will be too.

I'm glad to hear it jewels! :)  I just find more often than not people on here ( not just you) ask for people to respond or answer questions and then when people do they get mad or irritated at the responses they get. If you don't want them don't ask for them, ya know. Just my opinion.

Now when it comes to this issue, I will tell you exactly how I stand on this. Many may disagree, but I am fine with that.

This isn't a huge deal OK, but I don't agree with it. Why? In my opinion it starts to break down the barriers we have set already and leads the way for more of these business tactics only next time we will be dealing with pole dancing or who knows what. I'm sorry, but I DO NOT want that in my town. If I want to be in a place where it is acceptable to wear a bathing suit tops around in the store or for everyday attire I will move to San Deigo or some other beach town.  Why do I have such strong feelings about this? I have a 5 year old daughter!! I already am having to deal with the lies and images of " what is considered beautiful"  thrown all over TV. again my daughter is only 5 and I have already had to tell her that her freckles are beautiful after finding her in my makeup trying to cover them up because they were 'ugly"  and another time she was obsessing about her nonexistent upper lip hair!  Once again SHE"S 5! I am already fighting the fight to let her know that she is beautiful they way she is and we haven't even reached the teen years......heck we haven't even reached kindergarten!  The last thing I want in my town are establishments that feed girls the notion that your looks and body is what will make you money....they get it enough on TV I don't want it thrown in their faces here!

I also have to agree with Lori about the Chippendale's. They gross me out and I usually consider them slimy!! Prostitutes no, but slimy yes!!

Countygirl - I am so happy for your daughter.  You will be a great aid as she grows and is confronted with the constant and unrealistic views of what is beautiful and acceptable.  My daughter is probably the reason that on this specific subject, I am very conservative.  I remember so clearly her agonizing over the "bump" on her nose.  The one that doesn't exist.  I was amazed because, in considering all her attributes, her nose is one of the best.

You may know from my other posts that I am considered the liberal on this site.  So, I come to this conservative opinion with years and years of watching the degradation of women and their acceptance of same.  It never ceases to amaze and sadden me.  What is even worse: parents are "OK" with it.  Honestly, my heart aches.
