A friend sent me this link.  I found it to be very interesting because it matches up your priorities and beliefs in the issues that face us with the candidates that agree the most with your viewpoint.  I don't think anything in politics is really this cut-and-dried, but it gave me a chance to learn about a couple other candidates and explore their platforms.

My candidate came out to be Rudy Giuliani

I stopped by to get my nails done this afternoon at Nails 2000 and it was closed. Does anyone know if they are moving, remodeling, or just out of business? I know I tend to let my fills go longer than I should but 3 weeks ago there was nothing indicating them being closed and there is no sign to indicate whats going on but all the tables and chairs are gone.

Has anybody been to the Western Wear store in town called Trader Bo's? It's up on South St. in Old Towne and I found it has some really cute stuff. I am not big into Western wear but I did find some jeans called "Tummy Tuck Jeans" that was showcased Oprah, I wear them all the time now when I ride my motercycle because they help make my belly look flat, but when I sit down they don't dig into me. The store has cute purses, wallets, belts and household nick-knacks and really cute cloths. I will defiantly be doing some Christmas shopping there this year and I will be supporting a local business too.

Is anyone else here getting tired of these long winded, political/religious, mindless blogs, most of which have been cut and pasted from some news article? I miss our light hearted discussions, I even miss some of the good debates but at least it made for an interesting read. Agree or Disagree..............

I just have to vent a bit I went to our local Tehachapi DMV today to pick up the License/ID form for my teenage daughter to fill out and the only ones they had were in 'Bleepin' SPANISH!! I mean seriously come on Tehachapi DMV get it together !....Have enough English supplies. We are still the majority of the population at least here in this little town and I want it to stay that way.

I got this eamil awhile back and wanted to share

Amazing, it's SUGAR!!!! For Looks & Smiles Only...Not for EATING ,No deductions for income tax allowed :-)

Folks: These might be made of cake frosting but who could take a bite?
You might appreciate these. Truly amazing and they are made of frosting!
THIS WOMAN IS DEFINITELY TALENTED.....

Marzipan Babies
Thought you'd be as fascinated with these as I was.
These are made with marzipan....really unbelievable!
While some of the faces may look "crafted" rather than "real", every detail is amazing, and the rest looks VERY real.  Be blessed and enjoy the talent given one person by God.

Definition of Marzipan
Almond paste: a sweet paste made of ground almonds and sugar, often with egg whites or yolks, used as a layer in cakes or molded into ornamental shapes

* Excerpts from the Cat's Diary *

Day 983 of my captivity...

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of inedible dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the horrid rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In yet another attempt to disgust them, I vomit on the carpet.

This evening I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I'd hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.

There was some sort of assembly of my captors and many of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the feast. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am now convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is often released and seems to be more than willing to return. He is quite obviously stupid. The bird has got to be an informant. I regularly observe him communicate with the guards. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe...for now.

More to follow.

A limerick is an Irish poem I thought we could play a little game so I wrote a Limerick about myself and the blog here. Lets see how many Limericks we can come up. If you need to know how to write a Limerick go to http://www.poetry-online.or... or http://www.limericks.org/pe... So Here I go.

There was once a blogger named Kat

Glued to the Tehachapi blog she sat

When the boss wasn’t looking

To the blog shed’ be booking

If she gets caught once again poor Kat

This is my first blog so bare with me..............

Some say the current tax system is a complicated failure that hinders the nation’s growth while allowing the politically well-connected to manipulate the system to get special breaks that are not available to average workers and businesses. Do you think we should abolish the tax system as it stands and impose a federal consumption tax?

A consumption tax essentially taxes people when they spend money and with our current income tax method you’re taxed when you earn money or when you get interest, dividends, capital gains, and so on. With consumption tax you would be taxed essentially when you actually spent the money whether your income comes from working an honest job, illegally obtained, or from the underground economy.
