What's Happening?
Is anyone else here getting tired of these long winded, political/religious, mindless blogs, most of which have been cut and pasted from some news article? I miss our light hearted discussions, I even miss some of the good debates but at least it made for an interesting read. Agree or Disagree..............

I couldn't agree more.

I've tried, lots of times, actually, to post things that might give people a reason to get to know each other better, or just to share a light moment or two, but most of the time they just got ignored.

I think if people would take a minute to respond to some of the kinder items posted here, we would get more of the stuff you're talking about. Things that bring us together, rather than divide us.

Can we do that? Can we all just try to post a response to something that is fun or positive, instead of dragging on for pages about things that separate us?

I have gotten ignored many times too or I just don't want to play into the negativism of the atmosphere around here lately so I don't reply. I don't like to argue that much in my "real" life matter of fact its pretty good most of the time. I have tried to get into some of it because there is nothing else but I like the fun much better. I'm glad to see you are still here Weebles I like your light hearted attitude.

Honestly, isn't the world full of enough negativity for everyone? If I want to sit around and listen to people argue all day and call each other names, I'll just turn on the TV news channels or listen to talk radio. I like the blogs that tell us all a little more about who we are and how much we have in common.

We'll just keep posting to each other.

I couldn't agree more with both of you, in fact I was thinking about this very topic last night.  Several bloggers have left the scene and we seem to have been infiltrated with way too much radical political nonsense.  It isn't fun anymore and there's way too much negativity and aggression.  It's just not necessary.  I keep sticking around hoping the the tide may turn too, but it doesn't look like it at the moment.

Looks like we'll have to form our own "fun blog" committee, dedicated to providing an alternative to arguing :o)

I thought Tehachapi would be a boring town but after reading Sam Heaths and other's blogs now I have changed my mind. You are missing out on great writing by denying the high quality and challenge that always brings.

Other than that, I adore kitties too.

GregL & Weebles...I agree  a "fun blog" and add to it some of GregL's wonderful photographs!

Lynx... Tehachapi is such a beautiful place that if anyone finds it boring and thinks that the only excitement around here is to read these radical political/religious posts I feel sorry for you. Get out and enjoy what we have in this town and surrounding areas, you will be amazed, just take a look .

Personally I don't find anything about most of the long winded posts to entertaining, it seems to just be a rambling of words taking up space. Please don't think I'm the village idiot because I don't find the posts intellectually challenging, I did graduate college Magna Cum Lade. I just prefer to read more personal, real, and light hearted posts. I have found that most of the people I meet in Tehachapi are great folks and I would rather connect with others who feel the same here too. ;-)

LuvMyKatz is just a name. Just because I like cats doesn't mean that's the only thing I want to read or write about. If that were the case then I guess your only topic should be about a Lynx. Right?

Seriously I'm just  getting tired of the same old topics religion and politics; everyone here has their own religious beliefs and political positions and it seems some of the newbies are using this blog to shove it down everyone's throats. I for one don't like being preached to in life or on a blog. To me it is the radical thoughts of both subjects that cause so much trouble in the world today, it saturates the news media, is the reason we are at war, and I am sick of it.

It also seems that many of the Veteran Posters are disappearing, hopefully because they are on vacation or just perusing other elements of their lives right now, but I am afraid it's just the negative atmosphere of this blog lately. That's what's keeping me at bay I was just wondering if any of the Veterans were feeling the same as I was and it seems some are. I hope I answered your question--Lynx.

Are you tired of all the crazy blogs?? You know the ones where people are talking about drugs being OK, and how prisoners need to be released. Are you sick of all the very "Left" or the very "Right" wing political post?

My solution is this, Stop responding to them! No matter how stupid their post are, no matter how much you want to, just don't respond. They will get bored and just go away! Will you change the way they think? No. Will their post change the mind of anyone with any common sense? No. So just don't respond and they will go away.

So just say No to Sam, Lynx, and Kata-whatever. Lets stop giving them what they want, an audience!
