Hey all! Newbie here soon to be moving to Tehachapi!!!
Hello everyone! I have been browsing the blogs here for about a month now and decided to join in and introduce myself. I am Tamara, I am happily married to my husband Ryan and we have two little girls ages 3 (almost 4) and 1. We currently live in Lancaster and have our home for sale. As soon as our home sells we will be looking for a new home in Tehachapi. We are really sick of this area and they way people are around here. My husband is in law enforcement and a lot of his coworkers live in Tehachapi (Stallian Springs and Bear Valley mostly) so I am sure it will be a nice change for us from where we are (we live in the not so great area of Lancaster at the moment and it's going down hill from here drastically) Anyhow, I am a photographer (LOVE what I do) I work for myself and take pride in my clients and work hard on giving them the best! I will of course be working up a new client base in Tehachapi so it would be nice if you all could keep me in mind if you ever need portraits. Welcome Pea! Do you mind if I call you that? I'm lazy sorry! :) Your girls are beautiful!! Does your husband work for LA County? I have a few friends that work for them. Do you do weddings? My brother is getting married in the fall, and I know that they don't have a photographer yet.

That's fine, countygirl. Actually my DH works for the state, dept of corrections. And nope, I don't do weddings (yet lol... I am planning to in the future) I just stick to maternity/babies/toddlers pretty much. posted by

Yes you will like Tehachapi better than Lancaster. Also, you will enjoy this blog site. It can get a little heated, and sometimes we say things we probably shouldn't, but the people are good people. From personal experience, when you put your foot in your mouth, then take it out, they are very forgiving. Welcome.

Hello there new neighbor. We moved here from San Diego 5 years ago for the same reasons. You will be happy you decided to do so. If you are in the housing market, we have ours ready for sale by owner. We are planning on moving to a rural part of Tehachapi (Upper Alpine Forest) and need to sell this house (Bear Valley Springs).
