The Hair Cut
The Haircut

One day a  florist goes to a barber for a  haircut. After the cut he asked about his bill and the barber replies:  "I'm sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing community  service this week".

The florist is pleased and leaves the shop.  Next morning when the barber goes to open there is a thank you card  and a dozen roses waiting for him at his  door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to  pay his bill the barber again replies: "I'm sorry, I cannot accept  money from you; I'm doing community service this  week."

The cop is happy and leaves the shop. Next morning when  the barber goes to

open up there is a thank you card and a dozen  donuts waiting for him at his door.

Later a Republican  comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to pay his bill the barber  again replies: "I'm sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing  community service this week "

The Republican is very happy and  leaves the shop. Next morning when the barber goes to open, there is a  thank you card and a dozen different books

such as "How to Improve  Your Business" and "Becoming More Successful."

Then a Democrat  comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to pay his bill the barber  again replies: "I'm sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing  community service this week."

The Democrat is very happy and  leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber goes to open up,  there are a dozen Democrats lined up waiting for a free  haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental  difference between left and right.

God Bless  America !
NOTE:  I did not write this, it has been going around for years.  It is a joke, have a laugh and no name calling!

Nice caveat at the end Red!  A good laugh for what seems like a Monday morning today!

I'm a Democrat.  Personally I don't understand why the barber's community service involved giving free haircuts to people who could easily afford one.  Being a democrat I would have rather seen this criminal's community service consist of picking up trash off the streets.  Trash like this ridiculous post for instance.  lol

This is way too funny, I must send it to friends!!!!   Great post Red

Rewarding crimminals with flowers and donuts while serving his/her time/community service is typical of republicans.

Anonymous- You just made my day! lol I'm assuming you are a Democrat from your response. I just found it funny that the Republican in this joke gave the barber BOOKS and you obviously didn't even READ the joke(not well anyway). Your comment made the joke that much more enjoyable.

Normally I stay out of political related topics, but I couldn't resist. :)

Red - you think if you are NOT the one to originate something - you just repeat it (going around for years and years???) - that some how you are innocent of providing us with your Republicanism?  Nearly all of us are clearly aware your blogs don't produce original thoughts.  Just sound bites (i.e. jokes) that insinuate that everything democratic is dumb, corrupt, etc. HaHaHaHaHa

What are ten republicans at the bottom of the Potomac?  A start.

TeeHee ---- just a joke going around for years.  Don't get your boxers in a bunch and have a good laugh.  The joke only insinuates that all republicans should be dead.  HaHaHaHaHa

In summary - not all "jokes" are funny.

I think it's funny that the Republican in Red's old joke gave the criminal doing community service a thank you note.  lmfao

Lori..these jokes ARE funny...even yours.  It's political humor.  NOT personal attacks on people.  This post was intended to be light hearted and poking fun at everyone (politically).  Now if Red said that you or blogger personally should be at the bottom of the ocean, then that's personal.  Wow, even when someone tries to not make it personal someone always does, huh?

Anonymous I can see where you would think the florist and the cop are republicans since this joke implies that the difference between the left and the right is that the left wouldn't leave gifts they would only come back for free haircuts, but as you can see by the replies you are getting that the gift givers (the florist and the cop) who want to pay for their haircuts by giving gifts may very well be democrats.   All I have to say is if they are democrats they aren't very intelligent ones and it would make this joke even funnier than it is  Hello people...giving gifts to people serving their sentence for a crime isn't exactly a good way to punish crimminals.  Heck, now I wonder what the barber did to deserve this "horrible" punishment.     Hopefull y it wasn't beating up his wife or mother, maybe he cut someone's ear off.  lol

aero that's what Rosie was trying to tell everyone..  lol     As I said I think the joke is funny, that's why I keep coming back to this post.  lmfao  it's all good... I'm having fun!!!

Question: Where does it say the Barber is a criminal?  Just because someone does community service does not mean they have committed a crime.

Darn, I put in a disclaimer and still get Lori fired up! Mission Accomplished!
