Wow...What a Night!
Holly Hart gave us a very warm welcome at Mama Hilly Beans, and she suggested that maybe we could make a time to meet at Hilly Beans for just us bloggers...which is a wonderful idea. She mentioned how wonderful it was that liberals and conservatives got along so well...and we did. We talk to, laughed and hugged everyone. Holly was a great host....thank you Holly. Does anyone know if Job made it home last night? He said he was leaving at 8;pm but he was having so much fun he was still there when I left .so I am a bit worried about him. Eek is very quiet...so I just hugged her every chance I got. Madkow is shy so I had to embarrass her by making her stand up to speak to the crowd...what a cute little boy she has and her hubby is a real nice guy. Reffup loves talking politics and is very nice as well. Bigdog is as cuddly as a bear...OMG I bet everyone just loves to hug Bigdog... I know I did a couple of times. Olivia spoke at the mic and told a wonderful and heartfelt story of her childhood and got a big round of applause. Oochild may have a sore arm today because I had a tendency to hit her on the arm to get her attention. Awsmom is just the sweetest person, I really enjoyed talking to her. Joty is just an all around nice person and Storilori is so cute...she had a few of the guys turning their heads...she brought a camera, but I don't think she knows how to upload pictures.. lol Greg had to help me turn my bright lights to my new truck off because I didn't know how...as most already knows from his posts, he is a real sweetheart, it was good to finally get to hug him as well. Lots of fun and lots of hugs... a good night all around. I had a great time last night it was a blast to meet you all. Yes, I am who I say I am a hyper, short, curly haired gal that just loved you all.. Thanks for the great time everyone....We have to do this again sometime Gube ...you suck... lol Countygirl, you should have came... you would have loved it, and I would have bought you your first cup of java. (smile) If you bloggers notice a new blogger here named Randy, we met him at Hilly Beans...he's a poet and he and I played musical chairs for a while. Welcome to the TN blog Randy. 68 comments from 18 users

Sorry Sparks I am always quiet, But once I get to know someone I sometimes cannot shut up!! Next meet and greet I will talk more I promise!! And Sparks you are a wonderful person, I really enjoyed meeting you finally... And Job you are awesome!! Awsmom, madkow, oohchild, big dog, olivia, lori, joty, refuss (?) I really enjoyed meeting you all and getting to know you... Lastnite when I went out to smoke I saw this man that I know and he said Hi and went inside. I have been thinking alot about this man and he matches Gube alot.. I know this man has a combined family and one of his son's is special needs. The only thing that makes me think it is not Gube is that this man works and doesn't have the time on his hands like Gube. I will see this man this morning and I am going to ask him a few questions... But I bet Gube was there and just didn't show himself.... posted by

I had a greast time. It was nice to meet everyone and put faces to names. It was also the first time I had been to Mama HIlly Beans on open mic night. Tehachapi has some very talented individuals. I hope they do start a debate night, it will be a fun time. Mike posted by

Riceme.. Holly the host asked us what all our screennames were... I introduced madkow as madkow and Holly misunderstood and said "Fat Cow, she doesn't look fat to me?" lol Eek, I don't think Gube was there...we were having so much fun, it would have been hard for anyone not to join in. If he was there...he still sucks.. lol Reffup... Holly mentioned a bloggers night. We will have to see what Hillary can come up with. Reffup ...NO the guitarist wasn't Gube. Another hint: He blogged here about the local police being to agressive and giving an elderly man with a bad heart a hard time. posted by

Sounds like there was a lot of fun between the bloggers. I wasn't able to make it but maybe next time. When I told my wife about it she thought it would have been a great idea for me to go, besides my youngest girl has been wanting to go to Mama Hilly Beans for a while. posted by

Gube can't miss an opportunity for a "stir the pot " comment, he reminds me of Roger Rabbit, w/ 2 bits & a hair cut. That's it...GUBE"S a TOON!!!!!! I'm sure he's waiting........ Like Jessica Rabbit said in her best Kathleen Turner voice, " I'm not bad, I was just drawn that way." posted by

I wasn't going to mention this.. lol But since we are talking about the mystery blogger who posted an article about the behavior of our local police...I'm just gonna spit it out. Last night when I left Hilly Beans I was stopped for speeding. The officer asked me if I had been drinking, I said "No, I just came from Mama Hilly Beans and I had too much caffeine is all. He said the speed limit on this road is 55 mph. "I said " REALLY?!!!!" I thought the speed limit was 65 mph. He was extremely nice and noticed that I was simply nervous, not drunk when I gave him a 20 dollar bill instead of my drivers license that he asked for. LMFAO He said "I'm not taking 20's today". After looking into my eyes a couple times and informing me of a few local laws he realized that I really wasn't drunk. He, said didn't you see me. I said no, if I had I would have slowed down to 65mph,.which is still speeding on this road. lol I was so stupidly honest, and nervous that he had to laugh and after he did a check on me and my vehicle, he let me go with a warning. He said. "Now SLOW DOWN". So, I started my truck and accidentally spun out as I left because the wheels were in the dirt... I know this poor man was shaking his head, telling himself... I hope I don't ever have to stop that crazy lady again. lol I want to thank that officer for being so understanding and kind to me. I have never been stopped by the police here before and I didn't know what to expect after hearing on this blog that they are a bit agressive. I feel much better about the police in Tehachapi today. I learned about our local police and I now know the speed limit on that road.....all in all a good thing. posted by

Sparks, good thing the cop didn't realize what "group" you just came from. You would still probably be in jail...=) With all the post about cops on here and all. I have a funny cop story (actually a few, but here's just one). I was about 9 months prego with my first son and going back down the hill to Bakes. I peed right before I got in the car. I'm driving along and here comes the urge. I had already passed any off ramps (because I would had pulled over on the side of the road and did my thing if needed...no shame when I am prego). Anyhow, I can't remember the exit now but it's the first one right when you get into Bakes (I think Weedpactch), there is a gas station and taco bell to the left and a Chevron, a restaurant, and I think a burger joint on the right. This is heading north on 58. Well about 5 miles until the exit it was excruciating. So I started to speed like a mad women. I got off, stopped, and when I was about to make a left turn to go the the gas station I looked in my rear view mirror and saw lights coming off the ramp behind me. I kept going, pulled in, the cop was pulling in the parking lot. I got out doing the pee pee dance, made eye contact with the cop, pointed to my belly, and showed that I was putting my keys, and my license on the top of my car and ran in the restroom. When I got out I was tearing up apologizing to him. He let me go because I think he thought I was going to go into labor right there. But he warned me not to do it again and said I'll try. Now, I know that was stupid, in the cops mind I could have had drugs or anything on me and flushed them. He was cool. Funny stuff Sparks about spinning your tires when you left, did you expect to get pulled over again...lol. |
