SaveMart, clean up your act!

I am and have been a devout SaveMart shopper since the store opened -however many years ago -.  BUT, they need to clean up the front walkways - eliminate the Flower Pots and Planters, flats of Potting soil, huge boxes of watermellons, etc. from the area between the building and curb so that one doesn't have to do a hula to get to the store and back  to the parking lot.

And, if they had that room, they could continue with the pubic service of allowing local service organizations and clubs to raise funds for community projects.  SHAME ON YOU for shirking your community responsibilities.

I couldn't agree more with all the topics you mentioned; the outside looks too junky and dreary; not a very good impression at all.  Not Save-Mart's fault on this one, but the parking spaces are too close together, the lot's on a slant and I can't tell you how many shopping carts I have seen that look as though they have a motor on them because at times, they are hauling a** towards a parked car and/or out into the street.

Albertson's is too expensive, on most things, but it is a much nicer atmosphere inside, although again:  Need I ask if any of you have to be more than careful in the parking lot; sometimes it's a smaller version of the Indy 500, cars to the left, jokers to the right, here I am (LOL); then good luck, trying to get out of the drive-way on to the main drag.

The most important thing of SrMalContent's blog:  LET THE VETERANS SELL THEIR POPPY'S; HOW UNAMERICAN WAS THAT, Savemart!

I have always shopped at save mart because the employees are all from Tehachapi and much nicer and you don't have to belong to no stupid a** club for discounts because they sell their merchandise at a inflated price. I do agree that the front of the store shouldn't be an obstacle course. It's a law suit waiting to happen. The front of the store should be clear of all that crap. Come on it's a food store not a gardening store.

DonMar is 100 % right about letting the VFW sell their Poppy's. The Girl scouts sell their cookies. The car club sell their raffle tickets.

If your going to ban someone ban those damn bell ringers at Christmas time. Let them ask for donations but don't let them ring the bells.

I couldn't agree with you more.  Being a gal from a military family, many who have served overseas, and having served myself, I am appalled...simply appalled at their actions toward the VFW and any other charity fund raisers they have turned away. You got it DonMar... UnAmerican.

Hey Gooob

Those bell ringers you are downing are from all the service organizations in the community and the money they collect for the Salvation Army stays in Tehachapi to help those who have a legitimate need for help.

I agree again with Srmalcontent... I like the bells myself and I always donate to the Salvation Army.   All charity organizations that help those in need do good.

whats a gooob???????????  Why the personal attacks Sr.

Some stores around the country has stopped the bell ringers from ring their bell........I like those stores.

Gee I said let them ask for donations..................Yes I know that that charity does good blah blah blah but why do they have to make so much noise. I mean we can see them standing there by the kettle isn't that good enough????

You know the more I think about it the bells must put out some kind of physiological guilt trip to make you put money into the kettle.....lol
