Nice presumption of innocence displayed here. God knows that Kern County law enforcement never screws anything up....

I've got to say im with ProgressoDasani on this one. Sounds like the only evidence they have that this guy is the murderer is that he is a known drug dealer in town. Even if he was her drug dealer that doesn't make him guilty. Everybody is so quick to judge in this town. Yet some of our most prided citizens contribute to our drug problems directly. :) posted by

The KCSD is not going to release what information and evidence they have to the public. They guy ran and hid that tells me that he did something wrong. My heart goes out to Mechelle and her family. posted by

There is a huge difference between being "involved" or being "in the wrong place at the wrong time" - it is the difference between guilt and innocence. Jewels, since you know the suspect well enough to refer to him by a nickname, and enough about 'those people' and the little world they revolve around in to speak familarly of it, could you add some newsworthy information about this crime that the Tehachapi News hasn't covered? posted by

So you don't know anything about the case - and your use of "Believe me" was just a meaningless rhetorical flourish, not a real request. Noted.

If you put my picture on the front page of the Tehachapi news and call me a murderer I'd run and hide too! :) That doesn't make me guilty. That makes me cautious because i'm being accused of a crime before the police even speak to me. I feel for ALL of the families involved but that doesn't mean I'm going to assume that this man is guilty just because they say he is.

soup/purified water(progresso dasani)~ when i said "believe me" I know from personal experience with the KCSD. Mind you I had alot of it coming but I watched one of KCSD'S finest lie under oath along with his little puppet from DCS, anyway...The "believe me" was for MY situation. posted by

Ok, so here in America it is still "presumed innocent until proven guilty." Fine, let's let the system (broken as it is) do its job. However, the fact remains he is a known drug dealer so he is guilty of screwing up how many lives that may have directly/indirectly lead to death? |
