THE SUBJECT

I'm not understanding why very certain individuals go into someones blog site and just go off their rockers completely and just type any dumb thing comes into their head.  Not anywhere near the subject.

Why?

I know you can do this - it is within the "rules" and all - but I can't figure the reason.  Would you be so self centered and self serving at someones home?  Or do you save up your bad manners and let them lose in this anonymous location?

Do people in Tehachapi have nothing better to do than to try to guess who is who on their community website?

Apparently so rm6.....well for a few anyway.

Of course I would never had considered that, it just struck me as very funny that she cut it off and threw it in the dirt.  That's all.  I thought it was very funny.  I don't hate penises in general.  The story just was funny to me, and I wondered, since it happened in more or less the same time frame, how funny it would be if it happened to the President.  No harm intended...I thought maybe someone in your town had a sense of humor.....Forgive me for trying to get a smile out of any of you.  You people need to just relax a little.

Thought is was very funny to cut a man's penis off and throw it in the dirt?  What ever happened to divorce?  I think people in our town we have a wonderful sense of humor.....over funny things.  You think it would be funny if it happened to the President?  No harm intended?  Hmmm, you are the one who needs to relax, cutting penises off or mutilating a vagina because someone was cheating on you isn't a funny issue.

I doubt that Hillary has a penis.  Why would you post a picture like that?  I don't understand why people who seem to be so into politics, can't just stick to facts and make rational statements for or against.  The bashing and the complete disrespect for people is sickening.

Olivia...  I'm with you.  This blog is sad indeed.  Even if Hillary had a penis, who cares? Bigotry rearing it's ugly head again in Tehachapi.  Why hate someone because they are different than you, or have different views than you do?  This is American the most diverse country in the world and we haven't learned to get along with each other YET.  The arguing on this blog is a real turn off for me.

Why is it that any funny picture of George Bush is acceptable, but not any funny picture of any democrat??, sounds like a double standard,  its just a joke ladies, lighten up,,

Well, let me put it this way Starbucks.  If we can find a picture of bush that clearly shows boobs or a vagina on him, I won't find it funny either.  To me, this is an offensive post, most women will find it offensive and as a grown man, I think you already know this.

Glad to hear you say that olivia, most liberals on this Blog bash George Bush for any reason, and post any funny picture, I deleted the HIllary picture, because you found it offensive, do you think people here will give the President,or conservitaives that same respect?, no way, and I am no fan of Bush myself, it is a double standard for libs, if it is against conservatives, or Christians, then you can be as offensive as you want, like in most of the media, but offend a liberal, and ohhhh no,,,, you cant do that!!!!, they can dish it out, but they cant take it,

Starbucks1, would you do me a favor and show me where "most liberals" around here bash Dubya for any reason? Seems to me he's provided many reasons for bashing his policies & intellect. It's obvious he's not a great orator, and his job approval ratings amongst the public have been dismal for years.

Now, when someone posts an internet smear against one of the Democratic candidates, most liberals here will call them out & point out the truth concerning the smear (i.e. Obama is a Muslim & a baby-killer.) Funny thing is, the original poster almost always fades away into the night & never returns to support their accusations. I'd have more respect for them if they would step up to the plate & defend their positions, but they seem to prefer to just post in a blog talking to themselves. Not a very good way to further discussions, wouldn't  you say?

I can dish it out, Starbucks1, & I can take it too. Bring it on!

;-)

This is TOO funny...Washburn you are absolutely right!!   This whole blog turned into an off subject!  LOL!

oohchild, first,i agree with you about Bush, he's not a great orator, but I think his approval ratings are linked to the constant negative press, seeing how the majority of the press is liberal, they will never have anything good to say, like what hes done for Africa, they want people to hear just the negatives, so, in doing so, he gets low approval ratings. and second, look at how many times I have posted FACTS about the corruption of the Clintons, and the HIllary supporters here just ignore it and attack me, and then attack Bush, no comment ever on the FACTS on the MOUNTAIN OF CORRUPTION from the Clintons, again, double standard, everything is always Bushes fault, from katrina, to wildfires, to falling bridges, now, keep in mind, if something is posted as a JOKE, then people should be able to laugh about it, Vader keeps yanking your chains and you libs think hes serious, kind of funny you dont get the joke,

Well as far as bad press goes, I disagree with your assessment. The press was all over Clinton's infidelities & impeachment, & look where his approval ratings were when he left office (Hint: they were much higher than Dubya's.) Credit his handling of the budget & surplus of funds when he left office, vs. how Dubya has squandered the "peace dividend" left to him & spent your children's & grandchildren's money on a war by choice.

Second, your posts regarding the Clinton's alleged corruption are just that: alleged misdeeds that have never been brought into court. I'm sure that if there were indeed evidence to back up your claims there would have been charges filed. Call me when that happens, otherwise I'll stick to the American concept of "innocent until proven guilty."

Third, don't include me in the group of folks who are taking Vader "seriously." It's pretty obvious what Vader's goal is...

posted by Starbucks1 on Feb 20, 2008 at 11:11 AM

ohchild disagrees with me, surprise!, and thank you for proving my point about Clinton supporters calling all their corruption just, "alleged misdeeds ", thats one I havent heard,,,,, Here is an example of  Something you will never hear from the mainstream news...
The average unemployment rate during the Bush years is running lower than during the Clinton years.

Even with 9/11 and the recession that started during the Clinton years, unemployment is still very low, and it was 4.9 just late last year, did we hear anything about that?, no.

The media spin, turn good news into bad news, Spinning the positive economic news into a negative was another common problem during the summer of 2004. The way the media ignored the job adjustments in the October 8, 2004 Employment Situation report is a fine example. Only two of the 11 stories even mentioned the quarter-million increase in Bush’s job performance.

Take a look at how ABC and NBC cover the same unemployment and job creation news on September 3, 2004. On ABC’s World News Tonight, Peter Jennings claimed the results didn’t live up to expectations. “The government said today that the economy added 144,000 jobs in August. That was better than the previous two months, when job growth essentially stalled. But it fell short of the 200,000 jobs per month that most economists consider the minimum for strong employment growth.”

Of course, Jennings didn’t mention that the report also included an adjustment of 73,000 in those “essentially stalled” months. The overall total of jobs reported that month was 217,000 – 17,000 higher than the number he had cited.

typical liberal spin, but people dont know it, they just go with what they hear, all negative  =  Low approval ratings,

Western Press Refuses to Credit Bush for African Achievements

President Bush is off in Africa this week enjoying plaudits from numerous African political leaders for his efforts to modernize and improve health and human rights situations there.

Just as they've done with positive Iraq news, however, the Western press is burying the story when it comes to the Bush administration's achievements in Africa. Irish rock star and human rights activist Bob Geldof chided the media today for the situation:

Mr. Geldof praised Mr. Bush for his work in delivering billions to fight disease and poverty in Africa, and blasted the U.S. press for ignoring the achievement.Mr. Bush, said Mr. Geldof, "has done more than any other president so far.""This is the triumph of American policy really," he said. "It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion."

"What's in it for [Mr. Bush]? Absolutely nothing," Mr. Geldof said.Mr. Geldof said that the president has failed "to articulate this to Americans" but said he is also "pissed off" at the press for their failure to report on this good news story."You guys didn't pay attention," Geldof said to a group of reporters from all the major newspapers.

Only Negative press = Low approval ratings
