Sand cat

Windie is a sandcat, not seen by the average visitor to the EFBC-FCC. If you know where to look., you might catcha glimpse of these adorable cats at one of the twilight tours.

Awww... This is one of my favorite of the small wild cat species. Very cute. Do you breed these tiny margarita fur babies? To help protect their blood lines? Thanks for sharing Windie's photo.  :>)

The EFBC have attempted to breed these felines, known as Felis Margarita. To date, I do not believe the EFBC-FCC has had any success though. Right now they have three, two males and a female.

If you would like to go to Margarita Ville, visit the Living Desert zoo, down near the Palm Desert area. They have had many successful births of the sand cat there, and even have them on display.
