Yasobich - > Fun Stuff and Pickle Soup -> SEX...its in all our minds
SEX...its in all our minds
Everyone thinks about sex, your parents, your kids, your local fireman, heck even the priest down the way. Its in all our minds and now the government wants to preach abstinence to all those within the age of 12-29, SHEEESH this is during our sexual prime. Cmon..... they say sex promotes disease or unwanted families, but they wont promote alternatives like safe sex or birth control, how lame is that. if your going to tell them to say NO at least give them alternatives, masturbation never hurts anyone when its done in the private place or even Parents talking to your children when its that time.
I don't mind the government putting our hard earned tax money into teaching the down side of sex, but i do mind if they wont offer an alternative, sheeesh this is a natural thing and heck it feels good.
In other words, no sex unless you're heterosexual, legally bound by your government, and profess your commitment to a monogamous relationship. The abstinence-only teaching isn't just for young adults anymore; it's also geared towards adults in their reproductive prime. This is what I'm handing over my hard earned money in tax dollars for each year?!
Grant it to those they talk about sex at an early age do need the info because most parents no adays are afraid to talk to their children about something that is taboo such as sex (cmon open up)This is a new century sex is everywhere wither we like it or not, don't waste time fighting it take your time and inform about it. I do believe in premarital sex, how else are u to tell if this is the one :P cmon would u marry someone if they stuck it in the wrong hole or blinded you or even clogged your ear holes?? I had my share of premarital sex an i was responsible about it, protection, porn, and the Internet showed me the ways :P and by the time i was married i rocked my wife's world and had 3 beautiful children. Grant it, it will be interesting when my kids are of age to inform them, but i intend to before the Internet does or the know it all kid in the playground that always tell it how it is before the parents do.
Anyways sex is a great thing, and i wont preach to give it up but i will preach the consequences and alternatives. so when my child does goto the playground she will be inform and pass a better word along than the one getting info from TV or Internet.
And i know most religions say its not rite till your married or u should save yourself for the rite one, but isn't it true that sex is natural and should be expressed when ever u can (you know what i mean perverts)

sighhhhh

Sparks, because you claim to believe that God does not exist, I don't believe that you have the right to mis-interpet events that God has made happen for His glory to justify the actions of others that are doing wrong. ie...pre marital sex. Never in the Bible does it ever say that pre marital sex was ever jusified, never has it said that adultery was right and it has never said that incest is right. In fact if you care to know there are many scriptures that tell us of the dangers involved with those sins. Leviticus 18:6 No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.  This is true in Leviticus, why would God make an exception in Genesis which is only 2 books before it? God does not change. God ordaines marriage, sex is a bi-product of our love for each other and is blessed by God since He is the one who created it. It (sex) was never intended to be carried outside of marriage for only pleasure or desire. These views are not my opinion they are written in the Bible and I am not politically correct.

Thanks jer72, I thought it was a legitimate question.

Sparks,

I would have to agree with Jewel that your post would make some think you to be a person with some type of faith. I can understand why she would ask.

Woah!!!!!!!!!! I wasnt questioning your Atheism at all.  Really I wasnt.  I just noticed that you had talked about God creating Adam and Eve and was surprised.  I won't make any more requests about your beliefs.  I am in no way disrespecting your beliefs.  If you read my post...it was a simple question.  That's all.  If you knew me at all, you would know that I am pretty dang open minded.  I just never heard an Athiest (and i know several) say "God created Adam and Eve".  They believe in no deity, whatsoever.  Kind of contradictory, that's all.

Jewels, you will never let this go, will ya?  You have been hounding me for over 2 years about my Atheism.  Is it a control freak thing?   I am a non-believer and trust me, it PAINS me to keep having to explain myself to you.   But, once again, and for the last time I will defend myself to you.

I wilI talk of your God often, the fact that so many people believe in a God makes God real to me.  God does exists for me, but only through the beliefs of others.  I talk about all different kinds of religions and Gods because I embrace every ones belief.   Live and Let Live is my motto.  I don't have to state that I am an Atheist every time I talk about God do I?

The sacred cow in India cannot be eaten, it's a sin punishable by death.

I will never eat beef in India out of respect the people who live there.

No, I don't believe that cows are sacred, but the people in India do...thus the statement above is very real to me as is your God.  You have never seen me disrespect anyones belief, please try and return the favor to me Jewels.

Give me a break on this issue.  OK Jewels, "my friend"?  I'm really getting tired of you trying to convince me, or force me to believe in something simply because you do.      Let it Go.  Trying to control others isn't healthy, and my believer "friends" don't judge me, they love me for who I am.   Please don't do this to me again, I had enough of this last year.   I will not respond to any more of your comments about my beliefs.   If you don't understand that a non-believer can talk about God with respect by now... you never will.   Atheists are not anti-God, they simply don't believe in him/her/it as others do.
