Family looking for right rental in town
Hi, We made the decision several months ago to relocate to Tehachapi from the Antelope Valley. We have already been active in the community and know a great deal about the area. We are two professionals with a teenage, honor roll, middle school daughter. We hope to be moved by the fall to get ready for her to attend THS in 2009. We are not interested in buying. Our needs in 5 years are not what they are right now with a teenager. With the housing market what it is this would be a perfect situation for someone who wants to keep their house until the market changes. We are fond of the new KB development due to the proximity to the high school. We have a successful homebased consulting business and have excellent references. Our current landlord has rent deposited into his account 2 weeks early EVERY month. We are very specific about our "needs" though. We are looking for a 4 bedroom with at least 2 full baths. I estimate 1800-2500 sq. ft. We specifically want the master on the opposite side of the house from the "teenager's" bedroom (I can't stand the music, but I guess our parents said the same thing). 2 livingrooms or a family room and livingroom is ideal. Again, we are only interested "in town" homes. Proximity to the high school is a plus. Price range of $1100-1400/month, but others can be considered. We have just one child and are interested in a 4+ year lease. We are very artistic and love the town. We plan to be active in the town and schools. We are clean and will care for the house as though it is our own. We do have 2 small (cocker and terrier) house dogs. Both house broken to a doggie door. In Southern California it is hard to find that "small town" feel that we find in Tehachapi. The school scores appear to be higher then surrounding areas. I have been watching the ads and thought maybe someone would see this and it might be a fit. We are looking at the fall (Oct-Nov), but the right one might change those dates. If you have a home and are caught in this crisis and would like reliable, clean tenants for 4 years (spring of 2013) please let us know what you have and we'll go from there. Thanks...

Professional family looking for a longterm rental in town......

Hi,

We are looking for a single family home for a long term (4 yr) rental “in town”. We are a professional couple with a successful home-based consulting business. We have a teenage, honor roll, middle school daughter who will be starting high school in the spring of 09’. We moved to the Antelope Valley several years ago to escape the perils of “the valley”, but unfortunately have found the area and schools becoming worse and worse. Our daughter will be starting high school soon and it is our main motivation in this move.

We have already been active in the community and plan to continue our involvement with the town and schools. It is hard to find a place in southern California that gives you that “small town” feel. I have researched the schools and found they have higher scores and activities(drama, yearbook and cheerleading) than many of the surrounding areas.

We are a clean and professional couple with just one child. We are fairly specific with our needs though. We need at least a 4 bedroom, 2 full bath home. We prefer single story, but can be open on that issue. We are looking for homes only in town and proximity to THS is a plus. We are also interested in a floor plan that spaces the master bedroom apart from the “teenager’s room”. I am sure my parents had the same complaint, but I hate her music, so adjourning walls are out. We do have two small (cocker and terrier) indoor dogs whom are housebroken to a doggie door. We are also interested in homes with either 2 livingroom or a family room and livingroom.  We have excellent references. Our current landlord receives his rent deposited into his account 2 weeks early EVERY month. We are interested in a long term lease (til spring/summer of 2013) as this is specifically for high school. We are not interested in buying as our needs in 5 years will be much different than they are today (and I plan to be in Bora Bora…LOL). We will take care of your home as though it were our own.

I have been looking at the ads here for months. I thought if I threw my needs out there then maybe someone is looking for us. With the housing market what it is it appears many homeowners might be interested in our offer. We are looking at about $1100-1400/month. We may be open to others depending on the home and location. If you have a home that fits our need and would like to hold on to it until the market changes then this long term lease by a responsible, reliable family might work for you. Please contact us with your offer. We are looking to move in the fall (Oct-Nov 08’) to prepare for high school in the area, but for the right home could move that date forwards or backwards.

We have falling in love with Tehachapi and are looking forward to relocating there and calling it our home.
