I say get rid of all the bums........Ever notice that small town politicians are all a little off..........................what a surprise that you had to read about it in the legal notices..........TN has really gone down hill reporting local news...Who cares about  The Revenant ?

Gube, do you even read the paper? Last I heard, you can't report on something that hasn't happened yet.  I read the legal notice, and I was at the meeting where they asked for the attorney to handle the recall - if it gets going. I think the legal notice is just to get the process started. My neighbor said someone was knocking on doors last week asking for signatures.  Too bad I missed them. Beckham  can't tell the difference between an agenda and his assenda.

Committee formed to monitor prison EIR process, other concerns
Mitigation fees, recall inquiry top other council business

I happened to enjoy the short story "The Revenant" and was glad to hear Will Finchers take on it.  As far as Stan goes. I am county so I don't vote on the issues but I am still interested in what goes on around Tehachapi & I think human interest stories as well as political stories are important to this community.

Gube-go back to work!

Thanks for the "welcome back" Gube, but to tell the truth, you're one of the reasons I "left"!

(No offense meant, of course)

People who'd say I'm the original poster child for Ritalin should be vying for the rights to paste up your cartoon mug on cartons of Prozac! Dude, you've got to get some new material! How do you say "overkill" en espanol? No offense, I'm all for freedom of speech and all, (regardless of any official language) but your cartoon face is all over the homepage - every day!  Nyuk, nyuk!

All I know is that you and "feces-tube Jim" seem to be tireless bloggers for all that is repetetive and annoying. At this point, you could be all about boobs and beer and I'd have to disagree just based on the in-your-face fanatical delivery.

Yo quiero Gube to give it a rest man!

Gubie - if you don't read the paper no more, how did you know there was a story regarding the most excellent SciFi short story, The Revenant? Hmmmmm?

OK I'm busted..But that don't mean I enjoy reading it....................

:)

Seriously, though, don't you think the TN has made some improvements lately? I hope they keep it up.

Yes I do hope they continue to get better......

Now this is interesting....

http://www.kget.com/news/lo...

"A Tehachapi firefighter is making noise after someone sent vulgar emails to city leaders claiming they were from him.

An investigation is underway to find out who actually sent the emails and police are hoping the paper trail will lead to the source of the disturbing e-mails.

[...]

Police confirm the emails didn't come from Reed and Reed said he knows who did it.

"I believe it was Councilmember Stan Beckman because I've been told by law enforcement," said Reed.

Reed is leading a recall to bump Beckman out of office and he is considering a run for the council in the fall.

Stan Beckman said he had no idea what Reed was talking about."

This is what the city council has to deal with? We have way too much time on our hands in Tehachapi!

Well, so much for coming to Tehachapi to escape big city nastiness.

awsmom... in the interest of keeping things neat and tidy, the correct spelling for your blog should be Beckham... not Beckman.   :-)

GregL..   there are nasty people everywhere, unfortunately.  :-(

Greg...lol  I hear ya buddy.

I remember when Stan came on this blog before he was elected, trying to get votes.  He and I got into a few spats.  I didn't like him from day one.   However, I am certainly surprised about this recall.

We should look at the bright side of this story.  People are doing something about this instead of just sitting back and letting Stan ride out his term like America is doing with Bush.  If we think someone is doing our city or our country harm...it's good to know we can change the situation.

Serve us or we kick your sorry butt OUT.   After all, public officials are in office to SERVE the public, not boost their own  egos or get all control freakish on us.   They work for us.

ragmop... lol   Bechham...   I like it!!!

If we're going to publicly discuss Stan... let's get his name spelled correctly.    Beckham.   Even the news article got it wrong..
