Dear Editor,
It is time to delete the "delete" button that allows bloggers  to remove comments on their post because they do not agree with your ideas.  It is freedom of speech to be able to post and read what other bloggers have to say.  Too many times someone will post a response to a question or comment, then it is removed by the blog owner.  If they don't want to hear what other people have to say, then they shouldn't blog their opinion and leave it open for discussion.  We already have monitoring by you to ensure our blogs and posts remain within the guidelines, so why do we need extra censorship?
Thank you,
Awsmom8

Here is a summary of SB 777. It does not state that bathrooms are going to be different sexes together as stated by anti gay
lobbyists. Here is the summary from the bill its self.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 777, as introduced, Kuehl. Discrimination.
Existing law states that it is the policy of the state to afford
equal rights and opportunities to all persons in the public or
private elementary and secondary schools and postsecondary
educational institutions of the state regardless of their sex, ethnic
group identification, race, national origin, religion, or mental or
physical disability and prohibits a person from being subjected to
discrimination on those bases.
Existing law prohibits a teacher from giving instruction, and a
school district from sponsoring any activity, that reflects adversely
upon persons because of their race, sex, color, creed, handicap,
national origin, or ancestry.
Existing law prohibits the State Board of Education and the
governing board of a school district from adopting for use in the
public schools any instructional materials that reflect adversely
upon persons because of their race, sex, color, creed, handicap,
national origin, or ancestry.
This bill would revise the list of prohibited bases of
discrimination and the kinds of prohibited instruction, activities,
and instructional materials and instead, would refer to disability,
gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation,
or any other characteristic contained in the definition of hate
crimes that is contained in the Penal Code. The bill would define
disability, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, and
sexual orientation for this purpose.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

Alright everyone!  The next 3 day holiday weekend is in Nov--it's Veterans day.  I want to take the kids-ages 12(girl) and 13(boy) somewhere in our motor home.  Leave Friday after school, and come home Monday with the 1000's of other people who do the same thing.  I thought about going to Pala, CA. North of San Diego as there is a mine there that you can buy buckets of rock and look for gems.  Then, possibly San Diego Wild Animal park or Zoo.  Any other suggestions?  Our last adventure we went to the Roaring Railroad camp in Felton. CA and road the train to the beach then went Monteray Aquarium.  Any suggestions!

October 5, 2004 will be forever etched in out family's history.  It will be the 3rd anniversary that my husband, age 47, unexpectedly died.  Our children are now 12 and 13 years old.
We could have chose to end his life with nothing but memories.  Instead, we decided to reach out and help people and  families that  were facing death as we had.  Through the compassion and kindness of One Legacy, an organ and tissue donation agency, my husband became an organ and tissue donor.   His organ and tissue recipients are still alive today.
In memory of my husband, I would like those of you who have considered organ donation to register online at www.onelegacy.org.  You can fill out a form and register to let your family know what your preferences are regarding organ donation.
