Eye sore

Has anyone seen the eye sore on the corner of Green & F streets. The city has allowed some kind of a business on the first floor of a two story building that requires grease duct. the problem is they ran the duct along with a second duct line out of the side and along the building(f street)Then up to the roof.It looks really bad. Both duct lines going to the roof are not strait. The grease duct running along the building does not look like it has the right pitch as per code. If any one Else has seen this please comment. You can't miss it, It looks that bad. With all the money that Tehachapi is sinking into the downtown i would think they would not be happy with this.

OK Bigdog, I have a totally off topic question that maybe you can answer.  I'm assuming you know about ducts and that kind of thing??

My house has a long straight duct for the heater, but hot air doesn't come out into the rooms along the sides of it.  The air only comes out in the rooms at the two ends of the ducts.  So I was wondering if it was possible to put some kind of insert (I don't know of a good word, I keep calling it a baffle) to help direct air into the side rooms.  Does that make any sense?

Madkow Do the vents in the rooms where the air does come out have a damper in it? If so adjust the dampers  and see if that helps with the air flow to the rooms aren't getting any air. Yes you could install a small scoop to help divert some air. But before you do that make sure that your filter is clean and that the coil inside your heater is not plugged up with dirt.. hope that helps.

Cool, thanks Bigdog!  I think I'll have to set my hubby to work this weekend :)  I guess it's all part of living in an old house.  It doesn't have the most efficient design.

BTW, where's Olivia?  Haven't seen her on in a while.

Hahaha!  Just bring her food and water and massage her fingers when they get cramped up (that's the worst!) and she'll be over it in no time, lol!!

ginger i haven't tried a grilled cheese with mayo yet but i will. have you ever put strawberry jelly inside a grilled cheese, its good:)

I

Not yet-l'll have to confess that I don't really like jam or jelly.I guess on a banana or something, that might not be bad.Or maybe just a grilled jelly sandwich.Kinda weird,I know,I don't get the putting cranberry in a turkey sandwich either.I'm the worlds most boring person when it comes to food! For some reason though, spreading a little mayo on the inside of the bread gives a grilled cheese sand. that extra little something.I finally ate dinner,I'll have to do grilled cheese and soup tomorrow night,It still sounds good.

My husband and his family puts mayo on Sloppy Joes.  Does anyone else do this?  I personally thought this was gross.

I love mayo....I put it on burgers, hotdogs, sloppy joes, instead of ketchup, I dip my fries in mayo.  Mayo goes on anything!!!
