The posted TN poll re: Capital Hills vs Curry St. is not a reliable indicator. Apparently they have no way of rejecting people who have already voted once. It's like the old Mayor Daly of Chicago who said, "vote early....and often"!

Of the hundreds of people who have been counted here it could well be ONE PERSON voting hundreds of times!

You have to get with today's technology TN so this can be prevented in the future. As it is, these "results" are completely unreliable and not to be believed.

Councilman Beckham was very wise and reserved in not engaging Holly Hart in what could have been a heated "he said, she said" argument during her lengthy and public personal attack on Mr. Bekham. Why? Because he remembered the old admonishion that:

When Holly Hart spewed her unfounded and personal venom against Councilman Beckham at last Monday night’s standing room only City Council meeting, she was known to be and viewed to be a member of the local school board. The Mayor even publicly acknowledged her as such even though she did not so identify herself. As such, she could have been perceived as speaking for the school board. This is a travesty which cannot go unchallenged and I am sending a copy of this to the school board and ask for them to investigate bringing her up on charges and for her to issue a public apology to Mr. Beckham. They need to HEAR not only what she said, but how she said it. She even stated that she was ANGRY! About what? It had nothing whatever to do with her, or the school board but she was spouting off about what somebody else told her in a third hand conversation. But you don’t have to take my word for it, just go to City Hall and ask for a cd audio of the proceeding. YOU CAN'T UNRING A BELL! Is this the caliber of someone we want on our school board? In the last analysis, she should be asked to resign. RIGHT NOW!

CITY COUNCIL FIASCO

I have been reading blogs here for some time but never posted…till now. I just had to say how horrible last night’s Council meeting was and the mayor and city attorney allowing one elected government employee by the name of Holly Hart to publicly berate another elected city employee, Mr. Beckham, with hearsay, bitter, unfounded and unsubstantiated personal remarks. She praised Mr. Smith and even stated that they have been friends for 20 years. No wonder she praised him. But, to have allowed her to spew her vicious, personal venom on behalf of two other people who were not even present was reprehensible. Perhaps even illegal.

I will continue to carefully watch these proceedings in the future with an eye towards violation of the Brown Act and will act accordingly. Also, the city attorney needs to be watched carefully because he seems to be very selective with his admonishments. He should be challenged by other attorneys. He appears to be more in favor of SOME official over others.

The man who called for Mr. Beckham’s recall was misguided. I’m sure he meant to say D. Hand! That’s who needs to be recalled.
