Adopt a Pet, Save a Life
Rick and Sue Seaman from Bear Valley Springs will be bringing some of their rescued dogs to Canine Creek Dog Wash & Boutique on Saturday, November 17th from 10am to 2pm to try and find them permanent homes.  If you have room in your house and heart for a lifetime friend, please stop by the store that day and see the dogs available for adoption.  Canine Creek is located at 979 Valley Blvd on the corner of Valley Blvd & Tucker Road in the ReMax complex.  If you have questions about the dogs available, please call the Seaman's directly at 821-2070.

We would love to have a dog but we travel a lot and are also gone all summer.  It' hard enough finding a house sitter for our 4 cats and until recently, 2 horses.  But I talked to the kids and in a few months we plan on adding additional fencing to enclose  the back yard and hope to be able to foster dogs through the Humane Society--the next best thing to having a dog!  And from what I hear, they need foster homes.  That way we can still be dog free in the summer when we are not home.

I'm sure the Tehachapi Humane Society would love to have your help.  Volunteers are needed for a host of projects in the coming year.  If you, or anyone reading this, would like to become more involved with the THS, please consider attending the monthly THS board meeting this Monday (11/19) at 6:30pm.  More information about the meeting can be found in this post:  http://www.tehachapinews.co...

Kudos and a HUGE thank you for all the good work you are doing, especially to help a furry friend, or two, or three find a forever home. As a volunteer for the Tehachapi Humane Society (pet adoption day, 1st Saturday of each month at the Pet Lodge), it is a special, never-ending calling, indeed.  As you know all too well, many times people bring their pets to Pet Adoption Day only to surrender them, sadly.  You are doing an excellent job, especially trying to help the Seamans, who were at our last pet adoption day, trying to find homes for the many rescues.

Also, another HUGE thank you for the found dog section; you are the best.

M.
