Canine Creek Has a New Home.... Finally!

Our New Store Location as of March 1, 2008

After several months of negotiations with three landlords, we finally found the perfect home.  We signed a lease yesterday, and will be preparing to relocate Canine Creek Dog Wash & Boutique within the next 6 weeks.

As of Saturday, March 1, 2008, our new address will be:
538 E. Tehachapi Blvd., Tehachapi CA 93561

Canine Creek's new building is located at the corner of Tehachapi Blvd. and Snyder Ave. across from the old Junior High School, 2 blocks East of the Apple Shed, and just south of the railroad tracks.  In fact, we're so close to the tracks, you'll be able to sit on our front porch and watch the trains go by.  The fastest way to our new store is to take Valley Blvd / Highway 202 east from Tucker Road and turn left on Snyder Avenue, just before you reach the High School.

Why We Love This New Location
Our new free-standing building is recently remodeled inside and out with tan stucco and rock face accents.  At just over 2,900 square feet, it is nearly DOUBLE the size of our present shop.  And, the feature we are most excited about... a HUGE fenced-in back area that will be perfect for training classes, private parties, socializing with friends, and hanging out with your dog!

Important Information - Making the Transition
We will most likely close the 979 Valley store from Wednesday 2/27 thru Friday 2/29 to pack and move.  So, we highly recommend that you stock up on food and supplies, and get your bathing done, by February 26th.  Due to a VERY tight construction schedule, the self serve tubs may not be ready by the March 1st re-opening, but retail will ready that day.  Watch our website for additional move updates.  www.CanineCreek.com

Hi Everyone.  Thanks for your kind words and support.  Our remodeling drawings are done, the general contractor is booked, and we hope to have the City of Tehachapi sign off on our construction plans this week.  The next couple weeks may be a bit hectic at the old store as we prepare to move (not as organized, perhaps items out of stock, etc) so please be patient with us.  I promise the new shop will be better... once the construction dust settles.

And, by the way, awsmom8, we DO have a cat section at Canine Creek -- super premium food (kibble, cans and frozen raw), organic catnip, natural litter, teaser toys, and some kitty theme gift items.  Since the new location will be nearly double the size (2,900 square feet) we will be expanding the cat section even more.

Let us know when your yard is ready and you want to foster -- the local pets need help desperately.  Also, if anyone is interested in adopting a dog or cat, please note that we have offered our shop to the rescues for weekly indoor adoption events.  We hope they will take us up on that.  :-)   Susie

Glad to see you got a bigger place. I hope it will be a good location for you.

One day I will try to make it in there and use your services. Lord knows my dogs would love me for it instead of the bath tub method I use.

As a loyal customer I wish to congratulate you on the new move. It seems true that the old saying "everything happens for the best" has been bestowed on you.

I know my dog Mitzy, will be happy to come to your new digs.

All the best to you,

Jim Richards (and Mitzy)
