Little Dog Headed for Death Row
Richter is a housetrained and neutered Miniature Pinscher mix with up-to-date shots. He is currently a foster dog through the Tehachapi Humane Society. Richter is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs 10-15 pounds. He has been mistreated and neglected so he is a little shy in the beginning. He gets along with cats and when he warms up is playful and loving. With just a little love and care he will be that great dog you are looking for. Richter's foster Mom is being required by her landlord to get rid of Richter, and he may go to the pound. If you can give Richter a home, please call B.J. ASAP. Her number is 661-824-4987. 3 comments from 2 users

Thank you so much for letting us know about this adorable dog, who needs a loving and forever home very soon. Hopefully, someone reading this article, just might decide that Richter is the one for them. All my dogs are rescues and they ask nothing in return, but always give 110% back, and never judge you by the way you look, how much you earn, how big your house is, or what kind of car you drive; they only see you as their friend, which is the best gift of all. By reaching out to our lovely community of Tehachapi, maybe this is the furry friend you have been looking for.

UPDATE: Richter has been rescued from this situation and is now in our local pet foster network, but he still needs a permanent home. He is coming to Canine Creek regularly as a behind-the-counter "shop dog" for socialization since he is quite shy, particularly with men. Richter is very loving and sweet, and gets along well with other dogs. If you would like to meet Richter and consider adopting him, please call Canine Creek at 822-0307 and ask for Shellie or Susie. posted by

UPDATE: I'm pleased to report that Richter found a new forever family on Saturday, February 23rd. He was fostered and adopted by Canine Creek through STOP, Save Tehachapi's Orphaned Pets. Best wishes Richter... we'll miss you!
