Pet Loving Bloggers... Need Your Help

If anyone finds a dog, its is really helpful to get a picture of it so I can forward it to all the pet local rescues.  People see things differently, and describe animals in a lot of different ways.  What one person calls "tan", another might call "brown" or "yellow".  Boxers get confused with Pit Bulls.  And anything remotely like a Labrador gets called a Lab Mix.  I have a Great Dane, so anything under 50 pounds is "small" to me.  You might describe small as a 10 pound dog.  So.... please post pictures on your blogs or email them to me at info@caninecreek.com whenever you run across a stray.  It's the absolute best way to match up the lost/found pets list.  Thanks, everyone, for your help.  Susie

That is so true, thats EXACTLY why I'll be down. 1/2 St. Bernard , 1/2 Shepherd? It'll be interesting to see what you guys think. I know he's fuuly equipped!

You're funny, Lori.  I love it when I ask someone on the phone if a stray male dog is fixed and the answer is "How can you tell?".  Seriously?  They don't know?  Well... if you can't see anything, reach underneath.  The dogs usually don't mind.  :-)

I keep asking people what they think he is. The answer is pretty funny, where is he posted, other than mine? Now that's on the back page. I can't keep himm, he's so cute.

Lori, his found info has been cross posted to the Tehachapi Humane Society, Save Tehachapi's Orphaned Pets, A Safe & Secure Rescue, the Mojave shelter, and the Canine Creek website.  I didn't bother to add him to my TN blog since you've already posted him here.

Don't worry, Lori, you did what you could.  We'll keep looking for his owner.  I need to find out what number to call at the shelter if someone wants to claim him.  In the meantime, if anyone calls your house, you can refer them to the shop 822-0307 or ask them to email me info@caninecreek.com.  I can keep in touch with animal control to track the dog.  Unfortunately there just aren't any foster families available to take big dogs right now.  Hopefully we can locate his family before it's too late...

AAAhhh, so sorry Susie! I just saw your message from yesterday that cleared all that up. Does, I'm still learning this program work?

It seems like people are so afraid of normal sized dogs now. He was a bit on the LARGE size. Giggle. Jane saw the remnants of the rope he was trailing, common sense would lead you to believe, any one who'd tie their dog up w/ that, isn't going to look for it. Maybe it just seems like he doesn't have what the public is looking for these days. Ugh, my eyes are welling up.
