Used car lot?
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the used car lot that has formed on Tucker. I first noticed this car lot on Mountain Fest. weekend and at first I thought it was an extended parking area for Que Pasa or City Slickers. I was wrong! I know that some cars used to sit between Henry's and the bank on Tucker and that never seemed to bug me to much. For some reason this new spot just looks so tacky and is visible to anyone coming in from the freeway! I just think that all this "improvement" to downtown and the city is pointless if visitors are driving through town and one of the first things they are hit with is a bunch of used cars! 4 comments from 4 users

What an eye-sore and very tacky; hope there is an enforced law against this; time will tell. Thank you for bringing this topic up for comment; you are 100% correct, with all the new buildings, this is a definite blight on our lovely community. Nobody wants a junkyard atmosphere; the collective "we" are proud of our nice town.

Beauty (or lack of) is in the eye of the beholder...... One mans trash is another mans treasure..... I see nothing wrong with the cars parked there for sale. None are "Junkers", all are licensed, all are legally parked well off the roadway. There's no state or county law against it and the only thing that might apply is a vague city code (10.28.110) pertaining to parking a vehicle for sale on the street. Since 202 is a county road and that side of the road in that area is not in the city, I don't think the city code could be stretched to apply. Why not MYOB where if doesn't concern you. If asthetics is your concern why not complain about the sewage plant greeting everyone on the highway by the town or the eyesore of the rotting shell of the old theatre in the middle of the downtown. posted by

Well, well, well..... I wouldn't be MYOB(minding my own business) if I was complaining about the theater or the sewage plant now would I? Every little bit counts...... Moving some cars vs moving a sewage plant..........both would be ideal, but which is more probable to you? Now as far as the rotting theater goes....I thought I heard that it was being remodeled and will be used by TCT.
