Thanks for the poll!
Thank you Tehachapi News for addressing the current question in a poll. If you haven't checked it out ...you should! :) Also the next City Council meeting on the 17th will address the current moratorium on the building of new subdivisions. As all of you know this doesn't just effect the city, but also all of those in the surrounding areas. You do not have to live in the city to speak!! Please go and let your feelings on this issue be heard! Also if you feel that there should be a limit regarding the terms the council members serve now would be the time to go and support Mr.Beckham. 16. PUBLIC HEARING – As the Council is aware, the Urgency Ordinance adopted October 2, 2006, which provided a moratorium on the building of residential subdivisions, is set to expire on October 1, 2007. In the intervening time since the adoption of the Urgency Ordinance, the City held a five (5) day community Charrette process and adopted the resulting Interim Community Design Program. At this time, the Council must choose to either extend the Urgency Ordinance or let it expire on October 1, 2007 – OPEN HEARING; NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND CORRESPONDENCE; STAFF REPORT; RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENTS; CLOSE HEARING; STAFF RECOMMENDATION; ADOPT ORDINANCE NO. 07-08-693 AMENDING AND EXTENDING INTERIM ORDINANCE NO. 06-03-685 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEHACHAPI ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65858 SUSPENDING THE APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL TENTATIVE TRACT MAPS AND OTHER RELATED ENTITLEMENTS THAT MAY BE IN CONFLICT WITH A PLANNED GENERAL PLAN UPDATE 0 comments from 0 users
