countygirl - > Wake up Tehachapi !! -> Prison Engine 916
Prison Engine 916
So I've heard that 916(the prison engine) is no longer on the run card and has to be requested in order to respond to an incident. Is this true? It would be nice to know that people actually do listen after all.

This rumor has been talked about for the last year. I have called and talked to Mayben's assistant. She confirmed this rumor.( but till its public its just a rumor) I was at the fire safe council meeting when this was 1st talked about. Some of us cant post about are bosses, that's why you get the anonymous post. The above post was not posted to stir emotions, it was posted to put information out that the City has refused to. Call Mayben's assistant, she will say " yes we are talking to the city about this. Let me put you in touch with the Fire Chief."

An "anonymous" posting of a "rumor"...........If you have some facts stand by them with your screen name. And, if you think it is a rumor (even if you might not get an answer), why not call directly and include that in the post? Don't get me wrong. First you say this is a rumor, then you say "Now he IS doing this." I don't mind debating facts, but this is written to simply stir our emotions (and, I am already irritated on the fire department issue with the city).

Rumor has it that Supervisor Mayben is negotiating with Tehachapi City to give them the County Fire Station at Curry Street. If I lived in the City I would be upset. Your Government leaders are working to increase your tax dollars and lower your level of service. Mayben needs to be working on increasing service to all of Tehachapi. Mayben has not done much for us in Tehachapi County or City. Now he is doing this. Mayben will lower the level of fire protection for all the greater Tehachapi area with this deal. If you live in Old West Ranch, Sand Cyn, or anywhere east of town your fire engine will be coming from Golden Hills or Keene. (extra 15 mins) Hows that going to make you feel?

Really. Tehachapi City is off as well. Huh. Are they even running calls still? Do they have the man power to do so? I wonder how much overtime is being spent to have them there right now???? Any overtime is too much in my opinion. At this point they should just pack up, and count their loses.

They are no longer on the run cards.. The same for Tehachapi City. They are both dispatched by request only. They both will be used but not as freely as in the past.

I have been listen to my scanner and heard no calls going in that direction in a while.
