Making people do things they wouldn't willingly do is why we have laws.  Think about it. :)

I thought it was great!  But when I showed it to my buddy in the AF, she said she'd never been taught anything like that in survival school.  Makes me wonder if snopes is as accurate as we assume it to be...  But who knows- maybe different branches teach different things.

Well snopes has claimed to have been in contact with the soldier in the picture who verified it, so I would assume it to be true.
