Lot for Hall Ambulance?
So I found a commercial lot in Golden Hills West  for Hall Ambulance. :) Not that it will make a difference.

There is a problem to that FireMedic - You have to convince Harvey Hall of that!!!! It is very true and very worthwhile. Just get Hall to go along with it.

Coofire, you are right on!  Hall will still make money no matter what.  A paramedic assessment engine company would provide immediate care while waiting for a hall ambulance to arrive and then hand the patient off to them.  Hall would still be making a profit.  I just wish that people would realize that no one is trying to put Hall out of business.  If anything a KCFD paramedic and Hall ambulance together would just be enhancing patient care to the citizens throughout Kern County.  Isnt that what it's all about anyway?  Or at least that's what it should be about....

Harvey and Watson???  I wonder if the ego maniac is going to run for supervisor next??  I think Pine Mountain will get a Firefighter/Paramedic first.  Harvey wont go there because that is a lost cause for his empire and he can still make his $$ on the transport...

I think this Golden Hills thing is a nice PR stunt of the Hall propaganda machine just before the Grand Jury report was to be released.  (Today).  Go to the Grand Jury home page and check out the Emergency Medical Services Report.  Looks like a rural area might finally get Firefighter/Paramedics...

I liked the article in the Californian about the MAYOR touting his new air-ambulance.  Conflict of interest??  Tehachapidad, there was no character attack implied at all.  Just making a statement.  Ask the Hall administraters why they are taking pictures of the city and county fire depts on calls.

Hello Tehachapi,

The answer is a firefighter paramedic like pine mountain has been trying to get for the last couple years.  Hall on June 12th will be going before the BOS to ask  for a $125.00  property tax  for everyone who lives in PMC so as to place a rig in PMC 24/7.  This includes lots that don't even have homes on them.  This is just the begining.  If he can get this passed, watch out all you small towns, he'll be coming for you next.  As for the dispatching, hall is trying to take over all EMS dispatching from Kern County Fire.  Just ask the Kern County FF union local 1301. If you want to learn more as to what Mayor Hall is trying to do to Kern County I recommend you tell all your friends to attend the meeting on June 12 at 2pm at the BOS meeting.  Also read the frazier park mountain enterprise.  It comments about this same subject.  No one wants to see Hall run out of business, but we also don't want to have to wait 30-45 mins for a paramedic rig to arrive on scene.  A firemedic assessment engine is the answer.  The medic never leaves the town he is stationed in and can begin advanced life support while waiting for Hall to arrive.  Care would then be transferred to the Hall medic and the Firemedic is available for the next call.  This would be a benefit for all of us in Kern County.  Why should we only have 1 paramedic service to rely on in the event a child or adult is dying or injuried and the ambulance in that town is gone on follow up leaving your community without a paramedic in your time of need?

Actually Concerned the dispatchers ask when someone calls 911 for a Ambulance where the injury is on the body. So when Ambulance and maybe Fire gets dispatched they can tell the crews what is going on. Its EMD and it prioritizes call in order of severity just like TRIAGE does the same thing when Ambulance and Fire arrive on scene of things like Mass Casualty Incidents.

CoolFire- I think you should watch what you say. That is a total character attack. There are a lot of very fine men and women that work at Hall Ambulance and they have clear backgrounds!! That includes the crews here in Tehachapi. One bad apple does not make the whole company sour. Lets be nice on here shall we. We all want more ambulance coverage. But lets do it in a mature adult manner. I understand the unhappiness of response times of ambulances and their not always what people expect. It sucks! Just please dont attack the people that may or may not have to respond to you or a loved ones home someday. It is not going to speed things up.

Rare?  I think if it was my friend or loved one, that "rare" one time would be one to many.  Harvey owns EMS. $$$.....  I have even heard that he is trying to take away EMS dispatching from the fire dept.  Hopefully he will still have some employee's after they get through with the new mandatory background checks..........

Hammer - You know as well as I that a Hemorrhage could be as simple as a Cut finger, but per EMD  Protocol it has to be dispatched that way. We need all the facts not just the beginning. Since you seem to be listening to that - What was the outcome of that call? Did Hall transport? That all being said,  it is sad where the ambulance is coming from. No citizen should have to wait. We all need a second ambulance up here ASAP. It sure is nice to know that little ol Mojave and Cal City can have 2 ambulances a piece and we have 1. I reckon maybe someday we will qualify for a second ambulance but god knows when.

That is really scary! I hope everyone is OK.  According to Hall these types of scenarios are "rare" therefore they do not need to be taken seriously.( In my opinion if they were being taken seriously a second full time ambulance would be running up here.) These scenarios may not happen everyday but they clearly DO happen, and more often than you think. This is unacceptable! No one should have to wait 45 min. to an hour for an ambulance.

Just didn't want to offend the faint hearted on this post. I was trying to make point but it was obviously taken with too much sensitivity. If you are serious about this issue with Hall then the only way to make progress is to form a grass roots group and take the issue to the proper level. That would be the county EMS Dept. and the BOS. In a nut shell you need to get out of your comfort zone and get serious. The comments about the name Hall, not Halls, were to make the point for sounding credible instead of like a bunch of uneducated types, thats all.

How about firefighter/paramedics at a Golden Hills fire station.........   Wouldn't that be great!     I see anonymous pulled all of his/her comments. The people he/she "associates" with must have enjoyed his/her comments about as much as we did.
