countygirl - > Wake up Tehachapi !! -> 39 DAYS.......
39 DAYS.......

In just a little over a month Tehachapi Police are supposed to be taking over KCSO and KCFD is supposed to take over Tehachapi Fire.

Has anyone heard anything about this?  Was Tehachapi Police able to fill all the positions needed for this take over? I haven't even seen a cruiser around town yet. Are they done?

Was a contract between the city and KCFD ever hammered out? Was it ever decided what they are going to do with the SAFER grants?

I haven't heard a gosh dang thing and quite frankly I'm getting  a little nervous.

*In other news I'm glad Station 16(Bear Valley) and Station18( Stallion Springs) are now fully staffed.

OK, I'll have faith in the city leaders.  But IF the city makes a stupid decision, we still need to raise hell.  Hey anon, you should come too, we'll be nice.

Nobody should have faith in this city council. They've made horrible decisions in the past and what's to stop them from making more? Somebody's feet need to be held to the fire when it comes to additional staffing at station 12.

How exactly, anon?

I changed my mind. Anonymous, I'm not leaving that crap on my blog unless you can back it up with something!

Well excuse me countygirl. How is it okay for everyone to bad mouth everything but the KCFD?

I changed my mind. Anonymous, I'm not leaving that crap on my blog UNLESS you can back it up with something! Anon- Read it again. S-L-O-W-L-Y    I never said you couldn't  I said BACK IT UP! Now would you like to answer Kidswi's question? Oh, and you are excused. :)

Read this S-L-O-W-L-Y, if the KCFD really wanted to build a new station, whether it be in golden hills or the city, don't you think they would've done it by now? They don't need city approval for the golden hills area. Just like if Harvey  really   wanted to put a second ambulance up here. No matter what it always comes down to dollars and cents.

LOL!  If I'm not mistaken a Golden Hills station is in the works. It's not like KCFD is hanging us out to dry. Did you miss the article in this weeks paper?  KCFD has added personnel to Bear Valley and Stallion Springs(also bringing 18 to a full time station from a seasonal one. ) They have NOT ignored the need for added coverage in the area. TRY again!!

How long were those stations only 2 persons stations? It wasn't until all the drama with the TFD that KCFD decided to make 18 a full-time station and then add the manpower to 16. And even now thats all over-time there getting at 18.

1.) A long time. Until the recent population boom this additional staffing wasn't really needed with Tehachapi, Keene, and even Mojave already fully staffed. 2.) This isn't true. Things take time and while it may have seemed like this was so because of the timing this was already in the works. 3.) Not for long. :)

Now please tell me, What exactly are you complaining about again? You disapprove of the added coverage KCFD is now providing us?

If he really believed in what he is saying, he would have a real name and profile. KCFD has been in Golden Hills these last two weeks scouting out a spot for Station 13. When was the last time Hall was up here looking? This is just some Hall dude pushing Hall propaganda. No one with a brain thinks Hall is doing the right thing. It was not the TFD drama that got more manpower for BVS and SS. If that was the case then why did Glennville, PMC, Walker Basin, get more manpower? Kern County has held wildland fires to one day or less 96% of the time for the last 3 years. Because of this the State increased funding to the County.

anon- How long has Hall only had one full time ambulance in Tehachapi? How long has Hall only had two person crews? How much money does Hall get per transport? ($4,000-$6,000 per call) How much does he pay you? ( $7-$12per/hr) How do you have any loyalty to him? Why is he asking for a $125 per lot tax for ambulance coverage, after he charges so much now?

Does anyone know if the "public safety" assessment will remain after the TFD is dissolved?

Wow the county people are trying to say I'm pushing propaganda? That's probably the most ignorant thing I've ever heard "thepain" say. All you county people do is push your propaganda onto other people who are on this blog. All I did was make a comparison. That automatically makes an employee for Hall?
posted by countygirl on May 27, 2007 at 07:41 PM

Anonymous- What propaganda would that be exactly?  Don't get your feelings all hurt because you came on here making false accusations and then when you TRIED to back it up you came up empty handed. Your "comparison" only proved that your initial statement was unfounded.

P.S. This blog has NOTHING to do with Hall Ambulance.
