First of all let me state clearly that I am not a racist! Race or religious matters are not playing any role in this issue!

I am an immigrant myself, so I think I may have just like our governor a pretty good idea what it is about coming to this country as a foreigner trying to find my way to live and prosper here. I've delt with the odds and the obstacles on my way and I am very proud to call myself an american citizen after all.

It took me six years from the day my wife and I filed with the INS until the ceremony that made me a citizen and I had to spend some money along that way and I had to deal with burocrats waiting in long lines.

Besides those facts there is not too much to comprehend about immigration:
A country (no matter which one we are talking about) has the right to check out the people that come from anywhere else on this globe and decide to live there.

Our government owes this to us as citizens and taxpayers. Since we all are the government being the people living in this country together and electing those representatives who physically make up our government we all owe it to ourselves. As a society we have given ourselves rules and laws that anybody who want to live with us should respect.

So it is very easy to comprehend that coming here illegally, trespassing and breaking those laws is not an option.

Now don't get me wrong! I perfectly understand the people that come to this country for their own variety of reasons (I have been there myself 1999) and I truly believe that this country has gained its leading position in this world partially due to the steady influx of immigrants over the last centuries bringing their ideas and part of their culture with them and enriching the U.S. culture making it unique in this world.

It should be common sense that as an Immigrant I try to assimilate with people living in my future home country. If I didn't like the way people think and live there, if I didn't like their language why did I come here in the first place?

Controlled immigration is an asset and I would be last blaming the people who want to live here.

Do we need a more comprehensive immigration policy..... NO. We already have rules and laws in place that we just need to enforce...... Can we do better......... You bet we could!

Respect laws and culture, respect our borders, respect our language.......

Is that really too much to ask for ?
