What's the worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Too big, too small, too bright, too dull...or just plain weird holiday gifts...We've all had to smile graciously after opening some real doozies! Tell us about your worst gift experiences. We might even be able to find a special "white elephant" gift for the best "bad gift experience!"

I can't think of a really bad gift I have ever received but I have probably been the giver a the worst gift twice in my life. The first one is when I was a little kid, I gave my mom a broom! Then as an adult I got caught "re-gifting" as Seinfeld would put it. For those who aren't familiar with the term, it is the act of giving a gift to somebody that you received from somebody else. Anyway the way I got caught is they opened the gift in front of me and then pulled out a card from the box that was addressed to me! Argh!

A few years ago my Dad gave me a ceramic Turtle and Rabbit for the garden, I really didn't get the thought behind that, but, I still said, Hey, these are great!, so he didn't feel bad,,,,,actually, I still have them,,,,,,,,,in the garden!!

i never have recieved a BAD gift, maybe and ugly one, but always usefull. And I am grateful for them and the people who gave them too me..Even if it is a bulky bright red santa sweater, that I would only wear once a year and for maybe a minute (just long enough to take a picture).

Even more embarrassing was the time when I re-gifted an item my mother had received during a company party, only to discover that the rather "unique item" had been a gift to her - from our mutual boss! posted by
