Homicide investigation in TehachapiThe Kern County Sheriff's Department has been called to Tehachapi to investigate a possible homicide.Detectives are investigating in the area of 1101 West Tehachapi Blvd. There is little information at this time about the incident, but there are reports that one person might have been shot. That person was brought to the Walgreens in the area. 29 Eyewitness News has a crew headed to the scene and will bring you more information as we get it. posted by

Does anyone know if this actually happened at Walgreens? Seems like it may have if they blocked off so much of the parking lot. Or did the ambulance just take this woman there to meet the helicopter? posted by

This is NOT confirmed, however, when I arrived at Walgreen's, around 11;45 a.m. to shop there, one of the staff, inside, said that the (deceased) female worked at City Slickers and frequented Walgreen's. The paramedics tried to revive the gunshot victim, however were unable to do so, and she was pronounced dead at the scene; very sad, indeed. Every t.v. station was assembled there, but they had not set up interviews at that time. The person who "found" the victim must have been in shock, otherwise, they should have taken her to the hospital; I realize this is extremely overwhelming situation, all the way around. posted by

There were a LOT of people there for a small town incident. Now that I know what happened, I'm not surprised. posted by
