Moving again

Me and my family are going to be moving again! This time we are having to move into my Mom's house so I can be there to take care of her in her final days. The problem is that we are not able to take our dog with us. My Mom has 2 cat's and our dog does not like cat's to say the least. I am wondering if the local humane society takes animals in situations like this or would we have to contact the SPCA in Bakersfield? Also does anyone know of any good reasonablly priced storage sheds?

Please call the Tehachapi Humane Society to ask if they would consider a "courtesy post"  listing on the petfinder site which would include the photo of your furry friend and a detailed description as to whether the dog is housetrained, good with children, etc., how big is your dog, inside or outside dog, etc.

This Saturday, April 7th, is pet adoption day from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Pet Lodge so if you stopped by there, the volunteers for the THS could provide you with some hints to place your dog; the volunteers at the Humane Society are extremely helpful and hopefully can give you some suggestions for your situation.

Please give your dog a second chance; he/she could be the "Pet of the Week" in the local paper because as you probably already know, THE LAST RESORT would be to put your dog, who is a member of your family, into the dog pound, which is usually a death sentence.

Does Mom live in Tehachapi?  Training the dog would be easy and I can recommend a couple good trainers.
