Have you seen...
the stop sign at the Tehachapi Post Office. Is there a story behind this stop sign? It looks like someone worked very hard on free handing an octagon with a chainsaw. Though it is effective seeing as it is so eye catching and all, I think it may be lacking a little in curb appeal. If there is a sentiment for that particular sign at that particular location, please share the story. If not, Tehachapi City do your magic! 6 comments from 4 users

Speaking of stop signs, you know the three way stop sign at the corner of Tehachapi Blvd and Curry? Since there is no stop sign coming out of the bakery parking lot can you just pull out in front of everybody stopped at one of the other three intersections? I know it wouldn't be very safe or nice but what is the legal answer?

Blaze, That would be an automatic yield when you are pulling into oncoming traffic. The stop sign there is a good idea. They have one when you pull out of the drive up mail boxes, which seems kind of odd as there is nothing beyond that. So why not put up a yeild sign at the least? I am just wondering if this is a city ordinance thing that was an oversite or maybe a post office thing that they couldn't or didn't purchase a stop sign. I don't know who is responsible for traffice signs; be it the business owner or the city. posted by
