We all learned in kindergarten that the beginning is a very good place to start. As we have this debate on illegal immigration and illegal entry into this country, let's begin at the very beginning by sealing the borders to this great Nation

 Common sense and history tell you that rewarding illegal behavior will only encourage more of it.

 The Center for Immigration Studies found that illegal immigrants cost the United States taxpayer about $10.4 billion a year. A large part of that expense stems from the babies born each year to illegal immigrants.

 Our Nation's immigration laws are disrespected both by those who cross our borders illegally and by the businesses that hire those illegal immigrants.

 Illegal immigration is not just a matter of interest in states along our border with Mexico. It is having an effect on local economies, schools, health care delivery, and public safety all across the country.

 Stopping illegal immigration would mean that wages would have to rise to a level where Americans would want the jobs currently taken by illegal aliens.

 However, in recent years our nation has seen a sizable influx of illegal immigration that at best highlights some alarming inadequacies and at worst indicates a broken system.
 

 An American worker should not expect his pay to be cut because somebody comes to this country illegally and is willing to work for less than he or she should be paid.
 

 “We can have no "50-50" allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.”

 Amnesty is not the answer as it will only encourage more illegal immigrants to enter.
 

 The rapid growth in many of our suburbs has spawned a booming construction industry eager to hire low wage illegal immigrants who gladly fill these jobs, many of them happy to be paid in cash, free of federal and state taxes.
 

 Illegal immigration is against our laws so that makes those who violate those laws criminals

 Federal, state and local governments spend billions of dollars each year educating, caring for and incarcerating illegal immigrants.
 

 Every unskilled illegal immigrant who enters the United States for work drives up healthcare costs for every American. And, every illegal immigrant we turn a blind eye toward weakens the rule of law our country is founded on.
