My brother and his sons went out to BL on Wed. around 3:00 and caught a beautiful 5lber catfish around 6:00.  The boys were so excited.  But that was the only bite they had.  He said there are dead catfish all over the lakeside.????  Have fun!

Thursday, late afternoon,b.l., no bites.

yes Lori me and my daughter went out there for a couple of hours and got skunked.......It was mid afternoon not the best time to fish.....I going cat fishing Friday night.........I'll keep you informed.

I'll see you out there fishing tonight Gube. Do you fish from the shore or do you have a boat? What time are you going? We'll be there around 5 or 6,.

We'll be on the water with our chicken livers-here fishy fishy fishy!! We went to Albertsons last night and they had none so we picked some up at savemart. The fish report said the cat bite is fair on anchovies but I don't know where to buy those here so hopefully they aren't too picky,

We never eat what we catch, just throw em back for the next guy, or let someone throw them on the BBQ like we did with our trout from the derby.

Smokey I wont get out to brites till after dark.......I'll be shore fishing but wont know exactly were  till I get out there....The water level is still high and that make fore some rough fishing from the shore. I understand that they are going to start letting water out soon so that will help fishing...The contour of the lake favors lower water levels....

You can't go on that fish report out of the Bakersfield California......It is always wrong.....I think they make up the report....anyways  let me know about the anchovies.........I usually just use night crawlers and chicken livers...good luck.

There's a good chance we'll still be there when you get there. Especially if the bite is on, we won't be leaving, lol. Is there actually anywhere to buy anchovies in tehachapi? I know lots of places in Bako to get them but not here

I've only fished from shore a few times at brite lake but both times it was windy and miserable. Hopefully you have a better experience of it.

I have no idea were to by anchovies in Teh.......Bako is probably your best bet.......

I'll tell what when I get there to night I'll flash my lights towards the lake and honk my horn 3 times......If your still there stop by if you get a chance and we can meet.....

I also have been known to call out here fishy, fishy ,fishy.....But I also take a fishing Bell and ring it under the water at the same time.....lol

Gube, you may want to be careful of snipers out there.  If too many people hear you are going, they may be waiting on your lights and horn and snipe ya!!  : ) Here fishy, fishy, fishy.

did I ever tell the time that I caught a fish bigger then me ?????

took me 4 1/2 hours to land it..........it wieghed 679 1/4 pound.......and was 8 foot 3 1/2 inches long
