Who Is Destroying Christianity In America?

The Democrat Communist Party, which wants morally corrupted youth, and a morally corrupted society which is too blind to see the moral corruption of the Democrat Party.

Athiests, criminals, perverts, smut and porn peddlers such as Hollywood, the ACLU.

Homosexuals who insist on practicing feces tube dwelling, an abomination to Christianity.

Lesbians who insist on doing their dildo and other acts on women.

Big government fanatics who want to replace God with themselves.

Jesus didn't have a problem with it.  He so encouraged the feeding of the hungry, the dressing of the naked, and the housing of the homeless that He told us to consider whatever we did for them as something done directly for Him.  If He wants us to help, I'm sure He wants those who need to ask.

He also emphasized that we should give Ceasar the money that he asks for.

Jesus said "Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's". Ceasar wasn't entitled to steal money. We all owe for what we use (roads, police, military, etc.)

He was specifically asked about taxes, Jim.  He said pay 'em!

Have you read the bible, Jim?  Do I need to refer you to the chapter and verse?

(and of course, Ceasar stole like crazy, and his tax collectors did as well.  Jesus even encourages tax collectors to collect "only" what is due - surely proof that he understood the workings of government perfectly well.)

ProgressoDasani, tell us the Bible verse that shows Jesus condones theft by Gov't.

Theft is a sin.  However, Jesus clearly commands us to pay our taxes.  Since Jesus would never command sin, He obviously does not consider taxes to be theft.

Are you serious, or am I corresponding with a random phrase generator?

ProgressoDasani: Would it be OK if I convinced gov't to tax you an extra 30% of your income, and then give that money to me?

If you've got that much influence, you wouldn't be waiting for my permission.  Go for it, Jim.  I'm leaning toward you being a Random Phase Generator, though.

You're a totalitarian gov't's dream come true.

You're a trip, Jim.  What do you propose I do when the Federal Agents show up?  Found the "Republic of Dasani" and show up on the evening news for a week or two before being shot or toted off to jail?

But I know you are only concerned about the teachings of Christ - not the teachings of men, even of men who host talk-radio shows and interview others on FOX!  So, here are a few teachings on the subject, in context.

Luke 20:22 (The scribes and the chief priests) asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and show no partiality, [4] but truly teach the way of God. 22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?” 23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, 24 “Show me a denarius. [5] Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar's.” 25 He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”

Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have...

Matthew 25:33 And (the Son of Man) will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I suggest we gradually restore the gov't based on that which is conscionable, which does not include gov't forcing anyone to give to others.  Has the Pope encouraged poor people to learn a trade or profession so they can be independent?

Jim, you seem to be  mainly concerned with details of government ax and welfare policy.  Perhaps you confuse the correct ordering of those important issues with the purpose of Christianity.

Christianity has flourished under a wide variety of governments and a wide range of specific tax and spending policies.  Christianity has even (and especially) flourished among enslaved individuals and peoples.

Perhaps you should start a new post - I suggest "What is the Proper Tax Policy for America?" to address that vital question.

True Christianity is based on that which is conscionable. That's why America (gov't, etc.) should be a Christian nation.

Barack and Hillary are professional mega-thieves who want to steal from tens of millions of Americans for the purpose of buying a permanent, majority voting block.

Christianity forms the conscience, it doesn't con-form to it.  Taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves is one thing that Christ commanded us to do, and in exactly that many words.  Christ couldn't have been much more clear on it - I gave it to you chapter and verse, and I think you need to re-read it.

The proper role of government in this will always be an open question for reasonable people. However, you appear convinced that the correct answer is NONE, under all times and circumstances.

That attitude was largely adopted during the 1800's - as I described in one of the several posts I spent time composing and you spent no time reading.  Conditions became so brutal and so unjust that it led directly to communism and anarchy.

The Welfare State isn't a good answer - it has many defects, many of which we probably agree upon - but it beats the system it replaced, and it beats the system (communism) that it competed with directly.

You may resume your system of random ranting now.

One of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shall not steal."   This can be a great inspiration to learn a trade or profession in order to succeed in life. Instead,  thieving Democrat voters and their welfare peddling King and Queen ignore this Commandment, make excuses to violate it, and attempt to portray Jesus as a welfare thief advocate. The best welfare peddlers/blame and shame gamers make the most successful Communist thieves. Barack and Hillary are the current King and Queen of Thieves.
