ADOLF HITLER QUOTE!
"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

If citizens continue to NOT attend the City Council meetings and, if they do, continue to NOT stand up to voice their concerns, they will get the kind of government they deserve. Hitler had it right!

Thank you TK for the correction, although I was not able to find any reference to disclosure of address or identity contained within the Brown Act (SEC. 67.15. PUBLIC TESTIMONY).
That information was imposed by the city ordinance which has been changed to reflect the concerns of Mr. Richards, and apparrently, yourself. I meant no offense to those who may feel the same. My point is that there are much bigger issues at stake in Tehachapi's future and scolding people to "get involved" does not address any of those issues head on. It's an advertising campaign at best, aimed at gaining name recognition. Like I said, if he's serious about his bid for office, we'll all know where he lives eventually.
I imagine it is intimidating for most anyone to stand up and speak publicly and it should be, since it's a priviledge as well as a "civic duty."  Knowing that your fellow citizens are going to be affected by what you might say or actions you might set in motion during a public meeting should force people to think before they speak (or blog?). That's probably why people tend to "loosen up" in an anonymous setting such as this.

Jewels, thanks for being the spell checker for blogs, you must excuse my dyslexia so spelling has always been a challenge, however thinking has not.  Dyslexic peoples are more creative and free thinking than most however spelling and reading takes more time and work, I'm glad your such a "smart" person.

Any quote from adolf hitler whether it makes since or not is offensive to me.  This person who lead a broken people by charismatic leadership also had an agenda which surmised that one group of peoples were smarter, stronger, and better than others which equals pure racism.   Anyone quoting hitler I will not support.  You know these blogs are a total joke, opinions are like aholes, everyone has one.  Its funny to see a group of pretty much the same people who get a since of self importance by bloging and making controversies where none exist.   Its just life in a small town.

why thank you Anonymous, spelling, creativity, free thinking and reading are all some of my many talents.  I agree with you about opinions are like a**holes....everyone has one.  That was the MOST intelligent thing i think i have ever read from you.  And if you are trying to make me feel guilty about the spell check for a dyslexic person, i wont.  I didnt know you were and I wouldnt have if i had known.  I really only do spell checks when i am irritated with the blogger.   I know its one of my character defects, but i am working on it.

So making a statement that hiltler was an idiot irritated you?  This alone shows me what type of person you are.

"And if you are trying to make me feel guilty about the spell check for a dyslexic person, i wont"

Do sentences start with and?  go back to shool, and dont throw rocks in a glass house,  Your a typical 12 stepper who thinks that after you figured out how to be "clean" that youll teach everyone els

Pathetic

"Your a typical 12 stepper..."  ??? It's "you're" not "your." There are other spelling errors, but that is far and above the absolute worst in my opinion, I really can't believe how many people make it. Wth is a 12 stepper anyway?

Back to the original post...Regardless of the fact that this statement was spewed from the mouth of a megalomaniacal murderer (Hitler), it still rings true. If it wasn't, then Bush wouldn't still be in office because people would have foreseen the consequences of his misguided and mistaken ways.

No, the Hitler comment didn't irritate me as much as all the other comments you make.  "A typical 12 stepper"??? What exactly is that supposed to mean?  I figured out how to be clean before i worked the steps.  I worked the steps to learn about myself and to change...and to STAY clean.  I am not trying to teach anyone, anything.  Did I even bring up any 12 steps in this blog?  Oh by the way...what does this have to do with this blog?  And what do you know about the 12 steps?  Maybe if you did know about them you would appreciate them.  When did I throw rocks? I paid you a compliment, I said,  "your opinions are like a**holes" comment was very intelligent.  Thank you for your ever so appreciated enlightment... You are the master!
