9/11 LIKE 12/7 IS ANOTHER DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY!
Let's all show our respect today by flying the flag, keep your porch lights on, honk your horn, and drive with your headlights on! THAT will send OUR message back to Bin Laden. And do something today that matters most to you. Jim Richards

I agree that we should remember, honor, and commemorate this day. However, I don't believe that Osama Bin Laden will EVER "get" any message that we "send." Our attitude needs to be that we do the things we do for US, not the terrorists. They couldn't care less if we fly our flags, etc. Instead of focusing on doing what we do "against the terrorists," I suggest we focus on those affected by 9/11. Americans. Especially the families of those lost. Instead of just honking your horn, why not send an encouraging note to one of the families, too? This goes for all commemorative holidays - Veteran's, D-day, etc. We always need to remember that Freedom isn't free, and the soldiers or victims aren't alone in their sacrifices for our freedom. Just my feelings. I'm not trying to upset anyone. posted by

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't think I meant this to be a mutually exclusive activity nor restricted to this day alone. I think we all need to be more sensitive and more active in showing our support. Thanks for your comments. They are much appreciated. Jim Richards
